Dacha Kincora is a perfect place to relax and appreciate some of Victoria's best scenery.

I also rent out individual rooms in my house if you're interested. Please feel free to send a message with an enquiry. Individual room bookings do not guarantee private use of the whole house but sometimes can, depending on time of booking and price is subject to demand.

About the House

This 3 bedroom family and pet friendly home is a simple timber beach house on a private dead end road facing directly onto the Cape Liptrap Coastal reserve.

Outdoor deck facing the nature reserve with views of Anderson Inlet is fully covered and boasts a BBQ, small dining table, lounge suite and a relaxed feel to enjoy late summer evenings please remember to cover furniture and BBQ after use to protect from the weather.

The comfortable open plan living area has air-conditioning , wood fired heater and plenty of room for everyone to relax and find their own space to escape.

Snuggle up in front of the coonara wood fire with a book, let the environment spark your creative interest or walk 1 km through the nature reserve to the no 5 beach.

The house is set up for up to 6 adults and 2 children but many configurations can be accommodated if you're flexible with sleeping arrangements. We have just added one set of bunks and another is on the way before the summer 16/17 holidays so we will be able to accomodate your large family or a shared experience with another family.

We are a pet friendly house and our two dogs visit regularly. We have provided a dyson hand held vacuum to help you keep control of animal hair and ask that pets are not allowed on the furniture. Please note that currently the fencing is not totally secure, our neighbourhood wombats like to burrow under the fences so it's a constant battle. We are making an effort to secure all the fencing but this is taking some time. We will update our listing once we can guarantee secure fencing.

Bedroom configuration;

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with queen sized bed, ensuite and reverse cycle air-conditioning.

Bedroom 2: Queen bed with ceiling fan.

Bedroom 3: Double bed and one set of bunk beds with ceiling fan.

Small, galley, fully equipped and well stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare and feed your people. A few pantry basics makes catering at your holiday break, simple and enjoyable. The dining table comfortably seats 8 and the outdoor dining table comfortably seats 6. There is an extra hexagonal outdoor table and four extra chairs under the front deck, feel free to use this for larger outdoor dining. There is also a full lounge suite on the back deck. Please ensure all outdoor furniture is completely covered with the covers provided to protect them from the powerful Venus Bay weather.

Off street parking for at least 3 vehicles. Please always park on the property as emergency services need 24/7 access to the reserve at the end of the road. If you're in their way we can't guarantee the state of your car

Guests are asked to provide their own linen sheets, doona covers, pillowcases, tea towels, beach towels, bath mats and bath towels Comfy beds, fluffy quilts and soft pillows are provided.

The Area:

Venus Bay is a small coastal town located 165km from Melbourne. It is one of Victoria's worst kept holiday secrets, guaranteed if you mention you're visiting Venus Bay you'll know someone who loves it.

The town is nestled into the sand dunes on a narrow peninsula of land bordered on one side by the ocean beaches of Bass Strait and on the other by the calm waters of Anderson Inlet.

The golden sandy beaches stretch for 22km and include 5 magnificent surf beaches. Beach number 1 is patrolled by surf lifesavers during the summer months. The huge beaches are great for surfing, ocean fishing, swimming, walking, windsurfing, body surfing and beachcombing.

Explore the rugged natural beauty of Venus Bay with a bushwalk in Cape Liptrap Coastal Park to spot the wildlife and admire the striking scenery. Visit Cape Liptrap Lighthouse or try some of the boating experiences.

The Tarwin River flows into Venus Bay providing a tidal river which is perfect for river and estuary fishing. Fishing platforms along the bank provide excellent access to the river for anglers. Alternatively, cycle the bike path from Venus Bay to Tarwin Lower or just stroll along the boardwalk which follows Tarwin River.

Anderson's Inlet is the state's longest sand spit. Stroll along the 2km walking path, discover the rich bird life in the wetlands and mangroves or try fishing in the Inlet's sheltered waters.

Venus Bay is also central to many natural attractions in the South Gippsland area, situated midway between Wilsons Promontory National Park and Philip Island.

Venus Bay has a general store, several cafes/takeaway's, surf and fishing shop and a number of speciality shops. Tarwin Lower, another 5kms out of town has a great IGA with traditional butcher, post office and a great pub that serves yummy meals year round and often has live music and other entertainment.

Make sure you check out which farmers markets are operating when you come for your stay. Koonwarra and Inverloch are particularly worth a look.

It is minimalist but comfortable, quiet but close to all amenities. Sitting inside or outside as night falls is our idea of heaven; roos, birds and sunsets. Our favourite beach getaway!
