From the one-bedroom, self-contained cottage you can see for miles to Anderson Inlet and the Bass Strait. Wind turbines march across the low-lying hills to the east and west, appearing and disappearing with the changing light of day and shifting moods of weather. Cattle graze across the broad, lush valley that lies between your balcony and the endless horizon.
Well maintained pathways meander through the bush to viewing points and open meadows with drifts of native orchids, places for the perfect picnic or to relax and read a book.
The branches of twisted coastal gums stretch out their welcoming embrace. Two grass trees lean against a rough-barked tree trunk whilst down in the gully a natural spring ensures the wildlife have plenty to drink.
The superb bush garden provides the perfect sanctuary for the abundant birdlife. Most days you will be sure to see something of the native wildlife, perhaps an echidna foraging, a wombat trundling across a path or a koala hugging a tree. In the morning or late afternoon you will hear a kookaburra (The Bushman's Clock) laughing through the trees to let you know it's time for tea.
The beautiful beaches of Walkerville North and South, Sandy Point and Waratah Bay are just down the road, but once you've settled in at Bushman's Clock you won't ever want to leave.
