Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great location - Disappointing accomodation The wildlife was amazing. But the house is small and run down. It smelled of smoke, although no fireplace. Very dusty behind the beds in the bunk room. Not enough linen for 7 people, that we paid for. The double bed doona in bunk room did not have a cover on it, and there are stains on the doona ( food, blood or faeces). Sheets were supplied. The owner was phoned re the linen, and the cleaner was meant to come with a cover but did NOT. Mattress protectors could do with a wash. There are no photos of the bathroom, because it is very run down. No vanity, no soap holder over sink, toilet doesn't flush well. The kitchen is not well equipped. An electric fry pan or sandwich maker would be desirable. There are no cutting knives smaller than about a 20cm blade, a paring knife to cut fruit would be good. The BBQ was not clean enough to use and is supposed to be cleaned if used. There is only a lounge suite for 3 people, it is quite crammed for 7 people.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok We have just stayed at kookaburra cottage. Everything is definitely average with the bedroom carpet is bad in way of stains. Bathroom was ok. It would be definitely a budget accommodation. Lots of wildlife.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok for a budget traveller Sadly disappointed with this cottage .We choose it because of the reviews and it certainly has some highlights. The place smelled when we first arrived- probably from the previous tenants meal- not the fault of the cottage. Bathroom is very old and tired- didn't feel clean. Mattress protector was stained as was the doonah cover. Cottage is situated in between other residences, but still felt isolated enough and bonus was the surrounding wildlife. Close to town and convenient. Definitely suitable if your on a budget, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Property Wildlife is excellent, had a lot of fun hand feeding cockatoos and rosellas. Property has all the amendments required however is in need of some updating. Beds are very squeeky. Bathroom is very dated, lino floor lifting and needs replacing. Bathroom heater didnt work. Exhaust Fan filthy and clogged. Would look for better accomodation next time around.
