We are one of the only properties in Halls Gap catering for large groups and if you want space, peace and privacy you'll just love it. We are kept busy with bookings from large family multi-generation and friendship groups and just love that our property brings people together to catch up, unwind and simply have fun. If you want beautiful views and the opportunity to be amongst nature and wildlife, you'll also love your time at Jinchilla.

What makes it unique is that there are two fully equipped houses on the property situated 100m apart: the Farmhouse and the Lodge perfectly catering for large groups of all ages.

ACCOMMODATION

THE FARMHOUSE: 4 bedroom double storey home sleeping 13 makes the farmhouse a perfect rental for larger groups. Upstairs is a parent's retreat with 3 beds queen and 2 singles including five squares of open plan living encompassing a spacious living area and ensuite with shower & bath note bath currently out of use. A perfect area to admire the stunning views and spot shooting stars through the telescope at night.

There are three clean and well appointed bedrooms downstairs one is set up as a kids room with 2 sets of bunks, one is a queen with access to the downstairs bathroom and the other has a double + single bunk bed. We also have a single rollaway bed small sized if needed.

The farmhouse has a fully equipped kitchen & dining area with a dishwasher. It is well stocked with all kitchen utensils, crockery, glasses and cooking requirements including a slow cooker and nespresso coffee machine. A real home away from home

There is a separate lounge with wood fire and reverse cycle AC, a laundry with washing machine & a dryer, and a bathroom with separate shower and bath downstairs too. There are 3 toilets in the farmhouse.

Outside is an undercover outdoor area with BBQ facilities, ample outdoor furniture for large groups, dartboard, table tennis table and basketball ring. Plenty of room to roam and explore, kick the footy, have a game of outdoor cricket or build a tree house. Toast marshmallows and enjoy a campfire in the cooler months.

THE LODGE: 2 bedroom cottage with a main double bedroom and a second bedroom sleeping 5 7 in total. The lodge comprises a comfortable lounge area with a wood fire and reverse cycle AC, open plan kitchen / dining with all amenities. There is a laundry with a washing machine, bathroom with bath & shower and a separate toilet.

The front porch is undercover with BBQ facilities and is a perfect spot to enjoy a wine whilst admiring the scenery. The lodge has a fully fenced outside area to contain both little people & pets.

The property is set on 17 acres of private land and we're set far off the main road so away from traffic, noise and people too. Kids can ride their bikes and scooters freely and there's plenty of grassy spaces for picnics there's a picnic basket & rug in each house or relaxing outdoors with a book. There are no other direct neighbouring houses nearby so you will have uninterrupted views and privacy. Walk through the red gums, explore the surrounds and enjoy the wildlife who also call Jinchilla home including a friendly emu who visits regularly looking for food scraps.

INCLUSIONS

There are two dams on the property - you may want to try your luck at fishing and are welcome to bring your own kayaks or water sports equipment to use on the larger of the dams which we do over Summer. It goes without saying that all children must be supervised by their parents when around the water as our dams are unfenced and very deep. We have 7 bikes for our guests to use so take them out and cycle around the property and local area if you feel energetic note that these are infrequently maintained so we always encourage guests to bring their own if they can. We have a bunch of old life jackets and helmets available on the property too. Help yourself

We supply all bedding and linen, bath towels, bath mats and tea towels through a linen company and this fee is built into the cleaning fee of $275. Basic provisions such as coffee, tea, sugar, washing powder, toilet paper, bug spray and cleaning products for example are provided. Our guests are welcome to use whatever is in the pantry at the time.

Due to ongoing theft of our supply we no longer provide firewood however guests are welcome to take what they can from the property axes provided. We have no problem gathering enough wood from our property during our stays.

PET AND FAMILY FRIENDLY

Jinchilla is a family friendly property with portacots, strollers and high chairs available in each house along with DVDs, books, toys and games. We've got kids too so really want to make your holiday and travel experience as easy as possible. Don't forget the gumboots in winter

Pets must be well behaved as Jinchilla is home to an abundance of wildlife kangaroos, deer, emus, echidnas, reptiles and birds and our neighbours keep cattle, sheep and horses which stray close to our property always a thrill for the kids. Please note that the property is largely unfenced apart from the lodge so make sure your beloved pooch will come back if called

THE LOCATION AND SURROUNDS

Jinchilla is the perfect place for large family and friendship groups wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. It's a place where you can relax, enjoy the outdoors and be amongst nature - kids can be outside, spotting kangaroos and off gadgets. Whether it's marshmallows by the fire in winter or enjoying watersports at Lake Fyans or Lake Belmont in the summer, Halls Gap is a great option all year round.

Jinchilla makes an awesome base for exploring the Grampians, lakes and waterfalls, rock climbing and bush walking with the local area catering beautifully for all ages. We are across the road from the Halls Gap Zoo highly recommend you visit, 800m from Halls Gap - Fallen Giants Winery and down the road from Red Rock Olives / Cafe. We're a short 3 minute drive into Halls Gap village and all shops, pubs and amenities plus an easy drive into neighbouring towns including Pomonal and Stawell. So much to see and do - just ask us and we'll point you in the right direction.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY AND PEAK PERIODS ARE LIKELY TO ATTRACT A HIGHER TARIFF. EXTRA GUESTS ABOVE 20 ARE CHARGED $15 PER NIGHT aged 5 + BUT PLEASE ASK FOR A FORMAL QUOTE ON GROUPS LARGER THAN 20 PEOPLE AS WE'RE PRETTY FLEXIBLE.
