Be one of the first to experience this little gem located on 5 acres of rural property, within the Jamieson Valley on the Jamieson River. This home was completed in 2018 and we've been adding the finishing touches to create a cozy home away from home for you and your friends and family to enjoy. The property has been developed from grazing pastures with our first trees planted in late 2017 so they have a long way to go before much shade is on offer. That being said, the outdoor table with umbrella, the shadey morning verandah or the banks of the river will provide easy escape from the sun in the summer months.
With access to 150m of Jamieson River frontage on a large acreage nestled in the Jamieson Valley. Surrounded by farming land with cows grazing nearby and kangaroos and local wildlife often seen early morning and evening.
Unplug and unwind for your perfect country getaway. Relax on the verandah with sweeping views of the Jamieson Valley and River. Enjoy all year round activities including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, 4WDing or boating, all on your doorstep. Closest snowfields Mt Buller & Mt Stirling are 1hrs drive away.
Our favourite activity in the summer is to park up in the shade of the willows on the river bank, drink in hand and watch the kids float down the rapids. The river typically has a few deep pools and plenty of shallow areas, enjoyable for all ages.
Alternatively you can find a comfy seat on the verandah and watch the scenery change before your eyes. Rolling mist and clouds, daffodils in the spring waving in the breeze, a flock of corellas screeching past, some pesky galahs pecking at our grass seed, a lone kookaburra sitting on a post or a kite circling high in the air for its next meal. We have been fortunate to see a platapus, just the once, fossicking for a feed in the river at dusk.
Perfect for a family or two OR group weekends away.
