The cottages are located on an old tobacco farm established in the 1920s. Historically it was built to house the workers & their families who lived on the farm, as was customary for the many Italian tobacco farmers at the time. The tobacco kilns remain at the front of the property as a reminder of an industry that is an integral part of the agricultural history of the region.
We have chickens, sheep and alpacas on the property. Our farmstay experience is non-hosted meaning we don't have a set routine each day. If you would like to have a more interactive experience we are happy to assist with some hand feeding and petting when possible.
There is also plenty of native wildlife too with birds, kangaroos wombats and sometimes even echidnas. They are naturally a lot more shy making it a much rarer experience. The private bush at the rear of the property has various walking tracks of a medium to hard level.
