As fortunate owners of Amaroo Arte House, we would like to respect and acknowledge the Bangerang Pangerang People, the traditional custodians of the land on which the home is built and of its surrounds. We urge you if the weather permits during your stay and if you are capable of physically doing so, to take the self-guided tour of the Bullawah Cultural Trail.
The Bullawah Cultural Trail project was created to celebrate and share the ancient stories, knowledge and skills of our local Indigenous people. You'll discover ancient Aboriginal stories, spirituality, culture, food, sculptures, interpretive signage, the Marmungun Rock and the Bush Tucker Garden along the 2.4km self-guided tour, along the Ovens River. As you journey the trail, Uncle Freddie Dowling and his friends whom assisted in the creation of the trail, invite you to share their stories, learn more of how they lived here and the importance of country within their culture.
