The Pool House studio is a sunny self contained two-room studio located on the grounds of a beautiful rural property. The front of the studio looks out onto a swimming pool garden and the private back deck is nestled in the lemon orchard with views to the hills. The owner's house is adjacent to the studio however the accommodation is fully self-contained and private.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the 13 acres of grounds which include orchards, ornamental and vegetable gardens and a large dam with views over the valley and hills. You are free to pick your own lemons, herbs and fruit in season for use during your stay.
The studio is designed for two adults either sharing the king-sized bed or for two singles if you want to use the daybed in the living area for the second guest. There is a kitchenette with utensils to cook a meal and a small electric BBQ on the back deck. In the warmer months you can use the solar heated swimming pool and if the weather is cooler there is a claw foot bath on the private back deck so you can enjoy an al fresco hot bath. Please note that the pool may be used by guests staying in the Farmhouse between 10-4pm Lavender Farm in the hotter months.
If you want an evening in rather than go out to one of the many eateries in the area there is a TV and DVD player with a selection of DVD's and a range of books. We provide you all linen and towels and some continental breakfast provisions to begin your stay and a range of good tea and ground coffee.
The property has an abundance of bird life, two extremely friendly dogs and some ponies in the paddocks. Guests can bring a pet by arrangement . Given the proximity to the swimming pool this accommodation is not suitable for guests with young children.
The property is located in the heart of the valley only 6 km from the bustling small town of Healesville with it's many restaurants and attractions including Healesville Hotel, Giant steps and the Four Pillars gin distillery. You are about 2 kilometers from the Healesville Sanctuary and have several wineries such as Rochford, Dominique Portet, and Innocent Bystander within a 10 minute drive. We are happy to give suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area and if you are feeling energetic we have two mountain bikes you can borrow.
For walkers, you are at the foot of the Great Dividing Ranges and within a five minute drive there are a number of walking trails.
