The Tudor style homestead is set amongst a heritage garden featured in Australia's Open Garden Scheme, the Acheron River meanders through the property. 5 minutes to Marysville township - home to Lake Mountain and 20 minutes from Healesville with its vast array of wineries and culinary hotspots.
The property is 220 acres of lush gardens and rolling paddocks. Guests are welcome to walk around the property and explore, fish for trout out of the Acheron River which lies at the base of the garden or simply relax in front of the fire in the magnificent homestead. There are many bush tracks in the area and wonderful views of the Cathedral Ranges can be seen from the hill behind our house.
Tarnpirr Farm homestead sleeps 8 adults with the option of extra trundle beds / porta cot if required. This will be an extra charge per trundle/person.
It has a full kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher, oven.
We supply coffee, tea, basic condiments as well as crockery, cutlery etc
You will need to bring all food etc for your stay or enjoy the local cafes / restaurants. We are only to happy to provide suggestions.

The easiest way to get around is by car, but bus services run regularly through McKenzie's Bus Company from Southern Cross Station Melbourne.

Marysville is home to Lake Mountain, Australia's premier cross-country skiing destination. Other attractions in this quaint English style village include Steavenson Falls, a gorgeous selection of country shops and lovely restaurants for couples and families alike. Oh and don't forget a trip to the 'World famous Marysville Lollyshop'
The area also draws visitors from afar with a vast selection of summer bushwalking tracks and bike trails. It's also a Fisherman's paradise with the many local rivers all crossing in Marysville. The Steavenson River, the Little Steavenson, The Acheron and the Goulburn River. There are always the local Trout Farms for fishing.

Please leave house clean and tidy as you found it. All dishes to be cleaned, dried and put away.
No shoes to be worn upstairs inside the house.
No food or drinks allowed upstairs in the bedrooms
Please be careful when lighting fires and restocking wood not to drop embers on the floor as this will cause significant damage.
Please ensure that fire grills and doors are securely fastened at all times. Please double check before leaving the house unattended.
Our home is your home during your stay however we have spent years restoring this old mansion We ask that you take special care as you would in your own home and look after this house.
Please note, if you have young children you will need to be mindful of the open access to the Acheron River on the property. We have three young children and the river is not close up near the house but it's just a point to note.
