High in the tree tops, our guesthouse sits on stilts 3 - 4 metres above the ground. Surrounded by established karri & marri trees, you literally feel 'in' the trees while sitting in the lounge room. The garden is plentiful in bird life and the feeling of being in the forest exists while being only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Denmark. Drive out 10 minutes to Ocean Beach, laze all day in the hammock at home. Sit in the peace & quiet on the porch under the stars. Relaxation is inevitable.
The home's feature is the porch where there is outdoor lounge seating and a hammock. If you sit here long enough, local birds such as kookaburras, lorikeets, pink & grey galahs, and magpies will likely come and sit on the railing and hint at food. From here you also see them in full flight at eye level because of the balcony's elevation.
The inlet is a short stroll away and plenty of bush land exists within walking distance from the home. Within 10 minute's walk you will arrive at a section of the the Bibbulmun Track. The home is located on Bracknell Crescent, Weedon Hill, and there are nice bush tracks to explore on this hill also.
With an equipped kitchen, 1 queen bed, 2 doubles and a single with pressed clean sheets and towels, a washing machine, two toilets - there is everything you need here to make your stay comfortable. Heating is reverse cycle air-con but we also advise to bring slippers to Denmark all year round - the weather can be temperamental.
There are 21 steps to the front door but for those who feel uncomfortable there are rope railings to hold onto and two landings along the way if you need a rest. Another entrance exists on the side of the home with about 10 steps total but the terrain is a little rocky. Please note that the driveway is very steep and needs to be driven up at a quick pace in a low gear. This is easily accomplishable in a 2WD, 4WD, van, and even manageable with a trailer, however the ease with which you drive it may be dependent on your comfort levels with slopes. There is parking for 2 cars underneath and in front of the house with a small clearing for turning around. Part way down the driveway is an additional parking clearing & space exists on the verge also.
As the home's front window's are floor to ceiling and the drop to the ground is 4 metres below, we do not encourage the rental to families with children under 4 who are walking or crawling.
