Caber House is a unique architect designed pole house. We can accommodate 4 adults in our 2 spacious, well appointed rooms each with its own private bathroom and balcony; 2 people per room. This listing is for a room with two king single beds and, with level access, is suitable for all levels of mobility including people in wheelchairs. The bathroom has hand rails in the shower and next to the toilet.

61 jarrah poles were used to build Caber House which is situated on 2.5 hectares. It is a unique building with amazing angles and architectural features and definitely has the WOW factor. You will also enjoy views across the town to the Stirling Range.
The 2 guest rooms each have their own private balcony and bathroom with underfloor heating. There is a small tea and coffee making area where breakfast provisions will be and there is also a microwave and fridge for guests' use.
Enjoy bird and wildlife, easy access to forest, mountains and coast, stargazing using our telescope. Visit Stirling and Porongurup Ranges, local wineries, Mt Barker lookout, the Old Police Museum, St Werburgh's chapel. Or . . simply enjoy being at Caber House
There are no facilities for pets and smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Guests are welcome to enjoy meals, coffee and cake, etc, in the cafe which is in the middle section of Caber House. It is open to the public during the day from Thursday to Saturday, and Sunday by prior arrangement. There are several places for dinner in town, including 2 hotels and a Chinese restaurant, which is just 3km away.
The two guest rooms at Caber House have their own entry, private decks, food preparation area and eating area.
Living in our own private part of the house Geoffrey and I are available to help you to enjoy your stay. The amount of interaction you have with us is purely up to you as the rooms are very private, with excellent sound insulation.
