Ledge Point is a charming fishing village located 10 minutes drive south of Lancelin . Ledge offers beautiful sugary-white beaches stretching for as far as the eye can see. This part of WAs coast is recognised internationally as one of the great windsurfing venues. In January each year they hold the prestigious Ledge Point to Lancelin Ocean Classic , which draws enthusiasts from around the world.

Just south of the village is where the Dutch East Indies ship, the Vergulde Draeck, or Gilt Dragon, went down after striking reefs in 1646. Some 70 mariners were marooned ashore, never to be rescued.
