This beach house is a spacious well laid out four bedroom, two bathroom self contained property only a stone's throw to the beach in the quiet coastal crayfishing hamlet that is Seabird. Seabird is just 1 hour north of Perth and lies between Moore River Guilderton and Lancelin. This home sleeps 8 person's comfortably and has 2 queen size beds, one double bed and one bunk bed. A portacot and high chair are available upon request. The property has a kitchen and bathroom at either end of the home which allows for two families to operate comfortably within the same home. There is a fantastic wide protected deck area that wrap's around the home and offer's the ideal spot for a BBQ breakfast, lunch or dinner or for just lazing around and soaking up the sun. Not only is the beach very close by but so too are the two playgrounds, two manicured ovals one with gas BBQ's, tennis court's under light and a cricket net. Acitvities to enjoy include; swimming, beach or bush walks, fishing, boating, tennis, quiet nights by the log fire or a meal at the local Seabird Tavern or Sunset Cafe. The Seabird Tavern is renowned for it's fresh seafood platters as well as their beer garden that overlooks the sparkling Indian Ocean. The local Sunset Cafe has general provisions for sale including fishing bait & tackle and they are famous for their tasty all day breakfast. The Sunset Cafe also have available 'The Australian' 'West Australian' and 'Sunday Time's' newspapers.
Watching the sunset on the beach or with a cold drink looking out from the Seabird Tavern are highly recommended during your stay.
Locality
Seabird is located just over 1 hour north of Perth and is named after the schooner "Seabird", which was wrecked just south of the hamlet in 1874. Remains of the "Seabird" can sometimes be seen in the sands. Easy access to Guilderton Moore River, GinGin, Ledge Point and Lancelin. Local attractions include; beaches, the Moore River, wineries, restaurants, astronomy, wildflowers, numerous fishing spots and windsurfing.
