The Retreat is a 2 bedroom self-contained unit situated away from the main house. Rooms include bed linen, towels etc. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, table/chairs etc.There is also a wide screen TV with dvd player and dvds on request. There is an alfresco area which includes an outside shower, outside kitchen, sink,gas oven and cook top, BBQ, ice maker etc.
The Retreat is situated on nearly 7 acres, there are plenty of areas to observe the wildlife. Kangaroos often visit in the early morning or early evening, birds in abundance frequent the area e.g. New Holland Honeyeaters, Kookaburras, Blue Wrens, Port Lincoln Parrot, Red Robins, Barking owls, water birds on the dam plus many more. We are very close to National Parks, walks,bridle paths etc, plus the Millbrook Winery is close by
LOCATION: The town of Jarrahdale is one of the State's oldest settlements, set in the Darling Range and surrounded by peaceful bushland. The town is only an hour south of Perth and thirty minutes south of Armadale or east of Rockingham. You can go for a walk in the bush, a picnic, a mountain bike ride or just enjoy a coffee in the hills. There are many ideas on this website,, which is maintained by the Jarrahdale Heritage Society.
The Old Post Office Museum is a good place to start your visit. There are many interesting research tools in the Museum, collections of family facts and photographs, things to amaze and remind you of Jarrahdale's past. Many of the walks start from this point. Social events, sporting events and things to keep you amused. Feel free to call in and enjoy the museum run by friendly and helpful volunteers.
