This Heritage listed, Limestone Residence was constructed in 1896 in the Victorian Georgian Style for Dr Barnett and his family. The Lodge has had an interesting history, including its past use as a sporting clubrooms. Barnett Lodge is currently owned and occupied by a locally well known Fremantlian who is currently restoring the property complete with antique furnishings.
If you are seeking accommodation in a modern, immaculate, home, this is not the property for you. Barnett Lodge is like a museum under renovation, quirky, interesting, historical, fabulously located. Expect exquisite antique furniture, missing skirting boards, gorgeous rugs, peeling paint and unbelievably high ceilings.
Adjoining Fremantle Park, Barnett Lodge boasts an enviable location. All that Fremantle has to offer is within walking distance including restaurants, bars and train station.
There are currently two rooms available for guests, one double, one single. They are furnished as per photographs with antique furnishings and brand new 100 cotton linen. There is wifi available, a shared living room, kitchen, laundry, bathroom and off-street parking.
