Warwick House in Fremantle offers self-catering short-term rental accommodation in a quiet location just a stroll from the cafes, historic pubs and harbourside restaurants and boardwalks of downtown Fremantle. Beaches and golf courses too are walking distance or a minute or two by car.

We have a 2-night minimum stay. We sometimes do accept single-night bookings but then there is a cleaning surcharge of $40.

The tariff is $140 per night single or couple plus $20 per night per extra person.

We have a cot and a high chair for toddlers.

We are pet-friendly; your private courtyard and garden is fenced and gated.

Like 'Freo' itself, Warwick is gracious and historic but at the same time easygoing, warm and informal. With two bedrooms, large private entrance hall, patio and garden there's plenty of space to eat and play together or to escape for a quiet read or rest.

Warwick is also flexible, accommodating singles, couples, families and groups of friends.

Our tariff structure reflects this: the base rate is $140 per night single or couple, plus $20 per night per extra person just to cover laundry, cleaning etc. E.g. a family of 4, or two couples travelling together, would pay $180, or 4 singles would pay $200.

Longer stays and specials

If you're planning a longer Fremantle stay, we're happy to arrange Warwick to suit your needs. For example some guests sleep in the second bedroom, using the main suite for dining, entertaining and lounging. Parents with youngsters, on the other hand, sometimes prefer to have kids' beds nearby, using the second bedroom as a quiet escape.

We do offer discounts and specials for longer stays. These vary with seasons and holidays, so if you're thinking of a staying week or more ask us about this when you email.

The perfect gateway to the South West, luggage storage available if coming back and staying with us on the way back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cosy and great location The house is a gem. Cosy with an amazing garden, walking distance to Fremantle and cafe's, and affordable. This is where we will stay every time we visit Freo!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Accommodation Option in Freo I really appreciated the flexibility, economy and convenience being an easy walk to centre of town. A great option and the owners were easy to deal with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic base to use to see Fremantle Warwick House was ideal for our Fremantle stay. It's great value, comfortable, quiet, clean and tidy and just a stroll to downtown. Great to be able to park the car and short walk to centre of Freo. Comfortable but not pretentious. Was perfect for 2A, 2C.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magic moments As well as occasional short visits, we stay at Warwick House Fremantle for several months every 2 or 3 years, and we love our times there. The lovely hosts, Grant and Lorna, welcome us like family and it is truly a home from home. It’s true that the apartment is showing its age somewhat, but it still has a lovely tranquil ‘magic’. It is clean and tidy and we find it just perfect for our particular needs. We have our Aussie grand-children to stay over and they are allowed to run about and play in the amazing gardens and so we all feel relaxed and comfortable. Eating outside is a delight and the sunsets are to die for! We are a professional couple and could go for something more conventional or even up-market, which we did on our first visit years ago. But once we found Warwick House, we knew that we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bitterly Disappointed Having read the reviews and looked at the listed pictures, we assumed all would be well. This is a beautiful historic home after all, BUTunfortunately it has been allowed to get run down. I cried when we arrived as was so overwhelmed by the stench of mould and dust in every room. I couldn't sit down until I had swept the floors and cleaned the two fans that were layered in dust so badly that when we turned them on the room became filled with dust, the toilet.seat that was disgusting with brown scunge under the seat, the rubbish bin stunk and the lid and base was covered in scunge and mould. The beautiful period claw bath was rusted and discoloured, but that was nothing compared to the tiles in the bathroom that were badly covered in black and slimy mould. There was no working ventilation in the bathroom and the only window was boarded up so when the bathroom heated up, the stench of mould was overbearing, we had to leave a fan on in this room permanently. The spare room had an awful musty smell, so bad my teenager would noti sleep in this room. There was no lounge seating other than a single bed to sit on which doubled as my bed. I laid in this bed every night and looked at the rusted, stained celing that was badly flaking. The linen on all the beds was musty and smelly from the damp in the home, my duvet cover was stained but no use turning it over because the other side was also stained. The pillows were yellow/brown from age. There were two lights in the main area and neither gave sufficient lighting, the rooms were so dark even with the lights on that you couldn't read inside the home. There were insufficient plugs, and none in the bathroom or next to mirrors, so I had to blow dry my hair at the kitchen sink. The once beautiful back gardens were overgrown and were littered with old broken furniture. The wifi reception was hit and miss depending where you stood inside. The cost was inclusive of cleaning - what a joke because if they actually have a cleaner, they should be sacked, this home was filthy, grimy, smelly, mouldy, damp, lacking lighting and ventilation, cobwebs hung from the ceiling, thick dust webs hung from the fans and the curtains and linen were stained. Our clothing in our suitcases became damp and we all contracted the sneezes from the dust. I took photos to support what I am saying. On a positive note, the owners who live on site were lovely and friendly, but it is such a shame that this historic home that is actually listed with the Historical Society has been let go and allowed to run down. It would take very little to restore this home to its former glory and would be magnificent and I would have paid more for the privilege of staying there. In it's current state, had we not already paid for our stay and would have had to forfeit our money, I would have left and found somewhere else to stay..
