You will be staying in a private luxury guest room, which is separate to our home. You can expect to enjoy unique breakfasts with a healthy twist. Situated near to John Forrest National Park, you will be close to nature. You will be walking distance to some beautiful waterfalls in winter & spring, and the historic Parkerville tavern.
We're all about helping guests relax, be in nature, and get away from it all - while being in complete luxury
We have an elegantly furnished guest room that has a king size bed with minimal partner disturbance, walk-through shower and underfloor heating set in a beautiful location. From zero-VOC paint to the naturally sealed floor, the room has been built with as much care for the environment as possible. Your hot water is heated from the sun and power is largely supplied through our PV system. Summer nights in Hovea are rarely hot and the ceiling fan over the bed will keep you perfectly cool. There are modern conveniences such as wifi and a TV in your room, but your mobile phone will not work here.
You have access to the pool, the grounds of our property which includes Jane Brook, and the 26.78 km² of nearby John Forrest National Park. The guest room is detached from the main home, and your entrance is private. There are many outdoor spaces to relax on the property, including your own guest room courtyard Zen garden. At the bottom of our property, you will find our bridge which will take you to the old Railway Reserve Heritage Trail. The trail is popular for walks and bike riding.
We are both travellers and we love to meet people from all over the world. We are always keen to chat over a chai tea or coffee to share suggestions for places to see nearby.
Other things to note:
We have a cat who lives indoors in the main house.
Bring your walking shoes as there are so many wonderful walks near to us. We will supply insect repellent and sun screen if you need it.
In terms of us, Jeremy works in IT and is a former school teacher. Claire is a Registered Nurse and qualified Naturopath.
We are happy to cater your breakfast to suit your dietary needs including; GF, vegetarian, paleo etc...
Hovea is actually the largest locality in the Perth metro area but it's made up mostly of John Forrest National Park. The old railway reserve will take you directly into the park. The natural environment is mostly Jarrah forest which is unique to SW Australia. The area is very historic as much of the early development of Perth headed out East.
The Perth Hills are best explored by car. Drive to us and drive yourself around the hills, as there is limited public transport, but plenty of parking and stunning scenery to enjoy.
