Description

Geographe Gateway nestles on 3 acres of parkland and is just 200m from the beautiful Geographe Bay beach and adjacent to the Broadwater wetlands. It is secluded and private with plenty of parking. You can park your boat, kick a footy or enjoy a game of cricket. Situated between Busselton and Dunsborough, it is the gateway to the famous Margaret River wine district and is close to the many attractions that make the region a holiday Mecca.

The house is air conditioned and has 4 bedrooms with 3 queen beds and 2 king singles. There is a full kitchen and it is fully furnished and self contained. All water within the house is purified. Linen and towels are provided, except beach towels BYO. A $25 discount is offered if guests bring their own linen and towels. A high chair and portable cot is available.

An enclosed verandah at the rear provides an attractive alfresco looking out over an appealing landscape. It presents a relaxing atmosphere for meals and entertaining.

The residence is drug and smoke free. Pets are not encouraged as there are no fences creating a conflict with the abundant wildlife that occupy the surrounds, and the passing traffic would be a safety risk for wondering pets.

The house is well appointed and all mod cons within are available for guest use. There are many fruit trees and guests are welcome to consume what is available at the time.

Cars and boats can be washed, though it would be appreciated to not waste water.

The beach nearby is very safe, with lovely white sand, ideal for young children, and for swimming, snorkelling, and paddle boarding. There are no currents to speak of. The rear of the property adjoins an extensive wetlands with a diverse bird and wildlife population.

The location borders the famous Margaret River wine district and spectacular surf beaches. There are boutique tourist industries like chocolate, cheese, and olive oil factories. It is easily commutable to 3 golf courses, a large tennis club, surf beaches and many restaurants and caf├ęs and a picture theatre. The district also caters for children activities and art displays. It is indeed a stress free but exciting play ground.

Restaurants cover all types of food - fast to a la carte.

To fully enjoy the district, guests would need a vehicle. Public transport is limited to taxis, and buses that only connect to towns and the City of Busselton.

Hire cars can be obtained in Busselton if necessary. A 4x4 is not necessary for most situations.

There is a picturesque cycle path running past the property, linking Busselton to Dunsborough. Its a great ride to one of the many coffee shops en route.

Rubbish pick-up happens very early on Tuesday morning . Most people play it safe and put the bin on the road edge on Monday evening.

Health and Safety

For those that have medical concerns there are a number of medical centres and dental surgeries, physio and chiro centres and a modern hospital available.

Note: consider the safety of guests first before usinf the above devices. Guests not using fire fighting equipment should leave the house asap through one of 3 exit doors and group at a safe distance from the house.
