A HOLIDAY HERE IS ONLY A TWO AND A HALF HOUR DRIVE SOUTH FROM PERTH. QUINDALUP IS OUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WORLD AND WE HOPE YOU THINK SO TOO AFTER A STAY IN OUR FAMILY HOLIDAY HOME.
This large, single storey beach house (4x2)) is situated on a 1000 sq.m. block in a prime holiday location on Geographe Bay Rd,. Dunsborough. Quindalup, a sea-side village within Dunsborough, has been a popular holiday destination for generations of families since 1899. The house is set back from the road, providing privacy, and is shaded by peppermint trees and surrounded by large expanses of green lawn. By torchlight you should see nocturnal ring-tail possums moving amongst the surrounding trees or catch a glimpse of a quenda, a small local bandicoot, after which the town gets its aboriginal name, Quindalup (meaning the place of quenda's). A stay here provides peace. comfort, privacy, relaxation and great memories for couples or families.
There is so much to do within a short walking distance you could enjoy a holiday without getting into your car and driving anywhere else. Enjoy the convenience of easy access to great swimming, fishing, crabbing and boating of Geographe Bay via a 30 metre walk track to the beach, diagonally opposite the house. A private boat mooring is provided and there is also ample room to park boats on the front lawn. The public boat ramp is a one minute drive further down the road. At the fishermens boat ramp you could join tours such as whale-watching or if exploring the depths of an underwater paradise is more your style then go diving on the wreck of the HMAS Swan. On your return enjoy a welcome hot outdoor shower before you head off to your next activity.
The cycleway/walkway can be joined from the front of the house. Stroll, power walk or cycle along the shaded walking trail through the sand dunes to the right or head off for a game of tennis at the public courts to the left.
The property extends down to Toby's Inlet ( a small river) at the end of the backyard. Great for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and watching birdlife from the small jetty. Keep a look out for a pelican floating by, the local osprey flying from its nest or be fascinated by a family of ducks waddling up the bank and along the side path. We have fruit trees on the banks of the Inlet : fig, mulberry, locut, fig and mandarin.
This location is close to calm bays, surfing beaches, wineries of Margaret River, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and is central to many South West tourist attractions. eg. Nilgi Caves, Simmos Ice-creamery, Happs Pottery, Yallingup Beach, Newton House, Cape Naturaliste Light House and Meelup Bay, to name a few, are all within a ten minute drive. Dunsborough shops are a 3 minute drive or a twenty minute walk away. Holidaying in the South West is not just for the summer months. Winter, Down South, has so much to offer in experiences it may be difficult to choose eg. chocolate, cheese or fudge factory or visit all three? After a busy day sight-seeing snuggle up on the couch and enjoy the warmth and ambience of an indoor log fire.

This large air-conditioned and insulated beach house, in a unique holiday location, is well equipped and very clean with home comforts. It sleeps a maximum 4 adults and 4 children to age 16 or 6 adults. (4 bedrooms)

Short notice bookings (within a week of a stay) will be offered a discount in order to fill the vacancies.
Please note the highest price per night only applies to the peak time at Christmas, Easter and long weekends in the summer season. Mid-peak season is following the Christmas holidays and during the school holidays during the year LOW SEASON SPECIAL : During the off peak winter season book for 4 nights and only pay for 3 or 5% off the weekly cost. Pricing is adjusted according to the number of guests and the time of the year.
