Designer's Studio was winner of the WA 2014 Building Design Award for Small Alterations and Additions.
Situated on the ridge overlooking Geographe Bay at 193 Yungarra Drive Quedjinup, Designers Studio is just 2.5km from Dunsborough, the same distance to Clancy's Fish Pub and a 6 minute drive from the famous surf beaches of Yallingup. The beautiful calm waters of Meelup and Eagle Bay are just 10 minutes' drive away and there are countless wineries nearby on the Caves Road to Margaret River.
The Studio is on a 2.2 Ha bush block surrounded by tall Jarrah and Redgum trees and abundant grass trees. Although close to Dunsborough, it has an air of seclusion, devoid of traffic noise and where birdsong is the prevalent sound, especially in the mornings.
The large and lofty Alfresco which is for the exclusive use of guests, separates the Studio from the main house and ensures that guests have a good degree of privacy. The Alfresco has a Baby Weber Q and dining table and overlooks the bush on one side and the garden and timber deck on the other side. It is a great space for whiling away the hours, eating, sipping wine and relaxing.
The Studio consists of a large space containing a queen size bed, white leather sofa, TV, DVD player and jack for iPhone and iPod. There is a large walk in robe for storing suitcases and a writing desk set in an alcove flooded with natural light.
The dining area is adjacent to a kitchenette equipped with sink, fridge, toaster and microwave oven and stocked with a variety if teas, freshly ground coffee from the Yallingup Roasting Company, milk, marmalade , butter, sugar, olive oil and of course crockery and cutlery. There isn't a hotplate but the Baby Weber Q BBQ does a great job of cooking meat and fish and can also be used as a pizza oven.
The ensuite is bright and airy and has a very large shower recess and also shampoo, conditioner, liquid body soap and a hair dryer.
There is a minimum of two nights' booking for Designer's Studio.
