Travelling through the remote D’Entrecasteaux and Warren National Parks near Pemberton your 4hr eco adventure 4WD tour includes lunch or afternoon tea, and National Park fees.
This Eco Accredited tour departs from the Pemberton Discovery Centre in Pemberton, where you can fill your water bottles and greet your fellow travellers. On departure your guide will introduce you to the history of the region, and start giving you a run down on what you will experience.
The tour begins with an interpretive journey to the Warren National Park to discover the old growth, giant Karri forest.
During the tour, you’ll discover local flora and possibly see native fauna as your guide will reveal tales of local regional history.
You’ll also see, touch and drive through the largest inland land-locked dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, the Yeagarup Dunes.
Driving through this pristine dune area, your guide will stop so you can take in those memorable picture post card views. For the young and young at heart, ‘Sand Angels’, Dune sliding & jumping are a must
On the south side of the dunes, travel through coastal heath with ancient flora, if you time it right you might even catch the beautiful mass of wildflowers September – November.
On reaching the Great Southern Ocean you may wish to go for a short stroll up to the mouth of the Warren River as it pours into the ocean. The sea birds tend to mass at this point and the photography is amazing.
Finally, we enjoy lunch morning tour or afternoon tea afternoon tour in a peaceful and natural bush setting before returning to civilization.
