The Swell Shack is a family friendly haven for those who love swimming, snorkelling, surfing, hiking, cycling, fishing, kayaking, reading and relaxing. Our 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom character cottage is 200m over the sand dunes to Prevelly Beach and approximately 500 m to Margaret River's Surfer's Point, a short walk past the new playground and BBQ area at Riflebutts Reserve.
Margaret River township is 8 kms down the road should you feel the need to venture further than the local resturants. A bike path runs from Prevelly to Margaret River if you are into cycling, the Cape to Cape walk runs within a stone's throw of our door step for hikers, and there is kayaking along the Margaret River for the canoeing enthusiasts or if the swell is too big for exploring the reefs along the beach. For wine lovers and gourmands, there is no need to go too much further than a short trip along Caves Road to explore the wide variety of wines and restaurants in the region not to mention the gorgeous White Elephant cafe and the Common, a lovely walk down to Gnarabup along the sand dune path. For those who prefer a more leisurely weekend away, we have many books on our shelves and cosy nooks in which to hide away and enjoy your R&R, or just relax on the deck or the day bed with a glass of wine.
Swell Shack has 3 bedrooms. The accommodation is made up of an upstairs loft room with a queen bed, downstairs there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and another room with 2 bunk beds. There is one bathroom with a separate toilet, a laundry equipped with a washing machine and a kitchen basically equipped to satisfy most cooks as well as a BBQ for outdoor cooking. Please note that we do not supply linen, so you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels. Pillows and donna's or duvets are supplied.
Summer Fun & Cosy Winter Days
In summertime, there are a multitude of activities for beach lovers as described above.
When the chill factor kicks in, the fireplace warms everything and provides a cosy glow. There is nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a glass of red, some chocolate and a book, the crash of winter waves pounding a short distance away.
