If you’re looking for solitude and want to experience nature, then we have 160 acres for you explore. Look out for our endangered Carnaby’s cockatoos; get up early to see the kangaroos; enjoy the wildflowers or just laze around on the veranda with a book and listen to the kookaburras. If you're lucky you might see an echidna; hear an owl or experience the eerie call of a vixen at night. There are plenty of places around the property to enjoy a quiet wine and a good long walk, or stoke up the fires in winter and snuggle down on the veranda. Don't forget to bring your camera or art supplies. There are plenty of perfect spots to explore your inner photographer/ artist
Kids can explore the old stock yards and see some old farming machinery around the property. They can climb trees; make cubbies; catch yabbies in the dam; fly a kite; ride bikes or hunt frogs at the waterhole at dusk; all within the safe property boundaries.
Experience the contrasts of the Australian bush by visiting our property during each of the four seasons. Winter is for green, lush paddocks; full dam; bursting creek; misty, frosty mornings and warm fires peak season. Or change it up by visiting our sunburnt land with beautiful sunsets, screeching cockatoos and clear, starry night skies in summer off peak season. You can also sleep out in a tent or under the stars. Early spring is a beautiful time of the year with plenty of wildflowers and the bright yellow fields of neighbouring properties filled with canola crops. Visit in autumn for some lovely changing foliage; cooler nights and afternoon bird calls.
The historic town of Toodyay is only 15 minutes away, so if you want to enjoy a meal out or get supplies, you’re not far from civilisation. Toodyay has a lot of special events scattered throughout the year that you can enjoy, so drop in at the Visitor's Centre when you're in town. The Chittering Valley is at your doorstep so you can also enjoy some great wineries and olive farms.
Please note, there is only one spot on the property where you can get a mobile signal and we don't have WIFI. A landline, old-school telephone is available in an emergency. Leave your technology at home and enjoy life's simple pleasures at Woodstock Gully.
Please note that this property is about couples and families enjoying the great outdoors and appreciating nature. We don't accept large party bookings.
