My home among the gum trees is surrounded by a nature reserve with views across the Avon Valley. Carnaby's black cockatoos roost in the trees and native wildlife abounds, including Western grey kangaroos and abundant birdlife, such as Wedgetail eagles. There are lovely walks in the area. Watch out for orchids in Springtime but beware of spiny bushes.
Pets are most welcome. Please remember that there are no boundary fences There is a dog run at the back of the property with a small shed for shelter if needed.
The pool is refreshing in summer and the deck is a great place to watch the sun set. The fire drum will keep you warm outdoors in the winter while watching the mist rise from the valley.
TV reception is good so you won't miss a game of footy
Toodyay town is a few minutes' drive away where the Toodyay Bakery has great coffee and the best pies. Wineries in the area are well worth a visit, including Coorinja for excellent port and Alicia Estate where honey mead is made by traditional methods.
The AvonLink train runs to and from Perth and Northam daily. More information on bookings and local activities are available from the Information Centre in Toodyay town.
