Holiday rentals near Jardin de l’Alchimiste

The good: this is a well-managed and nicely appointed place to stay from where everything in Vieux Saint-Remy is within an easy walk and parking is right by the front door. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. The beds were comfortable, the linens crisp and clean and we were each able to find a favourite pillow. The not so good: the bedroom windows would be better with some curtains. One bedroom has shutters which are not very convenient to use but the other has zip with about as much privacy. Neither of the bathrooms have screens or curtains on the shower stalls so any enthusiastic showering will saturate the bathroom floors.

The location is perfect - an easy stroll or bike ride into St Remy. The house was well equipped, comfortable, cozy (we stayed in winter) and felt just like home. Julien was a fantastic host: easy to contact and extremely helpful. We look forward to coming back in summer to enjoy the pool & garden.

Superb property - beautifully restored and comfortable house in charming village - sixty second morning run to the great boulangerie. Owners and caretaker Paola very helpful. Close to so many lovely towns and villages - we spent a perfect week in January - can't recommend it enough. We hope to return.

The cottage in the garden of the main house is lovely. There is everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Although the cottage is in the grounds of the owners garden they only visit when asked to or if you ask them for help. The pool is delightful and is there for guests to use. In our case Martin was the main host as his wife could not speak any English. Martin is an excellent host. He not only gave us all the help we asked for but much more beside. He could not do enough to make sure that his guests were all looked after and had an enjoyable time. He helped us well above any level that would be expected. The property is in a lovely quiet area but a short walk takes you to the village and the wonderful town of Nimes is not far away by car or using the excellent bus service.
