The Palace, which is also known as the Casa Grande or Large House, today houses a very pleasant accommodation, with four double rooms and two triple, all en-suite. The traveller, wishing to relax in this area of the Burgos landscape, will find that the Palacio de los Serrano is the perfect place to do so. Its beautiful garden will also help you to find peace and tranquillity. Inside, another of the possibilities is to visit its permanent sculpture, minerals and painting exhibitions. This neoclassical building is, in fact, quite magnificent and has been declared of Cultural Interest, classified as a monument, and which also has the necessary infrastructure to hold meetings, give training courses, incentive trips…
Situated in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, both Sotillo de la Ribera and its surrounding area offer a wide selection of attractions: a rich gastronomy (delicious portions of black pudding, “chorizo” (Spanish pork sausage) and sheep’s cheese, to be followed by roast lamb or steak with vine shoot, accompanied by a good bottle of Ribera del Duero wine), 17th century underground wine cellars, an interesting historical and artistic heritage and the opportunity to enjoy the Ribereño landscape on many of its hiking routes.
The Palacio de los Serrano organizes free “Cultural Ribera del Duero Wine Days", which consist of a guided tour of a 17th century underground wine cellar, a visit to a Ribera del Duero wine producer, and also a trip around the historical village of Sotillo de la Ribera, given that its history and art are very much linked to the world of wine.
