Not really a cottage (it’s a modern bungalow) but a very pleasant place to stay in a good location
Not really a cottage (it’s a modern bungalow) but a very pleasant place to stay in a good location overlooking Portpatrick. Our only quibble was the WiFi which could be a bit erratic as the router was in the bedroom, but this is a relatively remote location so I guess that’s a small price to pay for some peace and quiet and some lovely scenery. This is a lovely villa which was nice and clean on arrival.
This is a lovely villa which was nice and clean on arrival. Lovely garden and Patio area, where you are likely to meet the very nice neighbours who kindly supplied us with some grapes that they had grown in their greenhouse! Portpatrick centre is down the hill and a nice walk down but too much for my 80 year old mum to walk back up... but saved by the "local taxi" who charged only £3 for a lift back up the hill. Lovely outdoor bars and restaurants around the harbour area but we also opted for a meal out in Stranraer with a 6-8 seater taxi costing £14 each way we had the most delicious meal in Henry's Bay House Restaurant... We had such a good time we are hoping to book again next year... Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
