The Perfect Stay In Barbizon

We had a very nice time in this Villa in Barbizon. The owner is very caring and has created a beautiful spot which is nicely renovated. It is the perfect place to enjoy the forest of Fontainebleau, go climbing or just relax.

Cette grande maison en lisière du village et de la forêt, nous a surpris et enchantés.

Sous une apparence extérieure traditionnelle, sa conception intérieure est moderne : de beaux volumes au rez-de-chaussée, une décoration design et surtout, des aménagements de haute qualité dans toutes les pièces, qui en font une maison très confortable où l’on se sent vite « comme chez soi ». Une mention particulière pour la très belle cuisine « hyper-équipée », même pour les tout-petits, et la piscine d’eau salée fort agréable par ces chaudes journées. Enfin, nous avons apprécié l’attention apportée par le propriétaire à la réussite de notre séjour.

Séjour des plus parfaits

Même si la météo n'était pas au beau fixe et que nous n'avons pas pu profiter des équipements extérieurs, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. 12 personnes dans le logement et nous ne nous sommes absolument pas gênés, très spacieux. Cette maison correspond exactement au descriptif et les photos reflètent bien la réalité. Encore merci pour l'accueil.

My wife Zeina and I have 3 young children and our work assignments have successively made us live in London, Paris, Miami, Dubai and presently in Dublin in Ireland. We recently purchased this typical Barbizonian home as we were astonished by the beauty of the Fontainebleau region and thrilled with its proximity to Paris.

We transformed the traditional house quite extensively with the desire to bring the house back into the 21st century by adding modern days convenience including ensuite bathrooms, new technologies and premium materials while preserving the charming appearance of the home's exterior. The house is very private and features a large private park, heated pool, tennis court and outdoor activities.

The inside is peaceful, bright and modern: our gourmet kitchen is spacious and well-equipped to allow you to treat your friends and relatives whilst the triple living rooms offer space for friends & family reunions and simply relaxation.

Our Villa is conveniently located within walking distance from the Barbizon Village and Fontainebleau Forest ! And finally Paris is only 45 minutes away by car.

We sincerely hope you to have you as future guests and to help you have a pleasant stay.

This stunning house is situated within the enviable and ever popular area of Barbizon which is bordered by the forest of Fontainebleau, while Paris is also within easy reach (45 mns drive). Barbizon Village is on the doorstep and a wide range of shops, art galleries, bars, cafes and restaurants can be found along Rue Grande, and throughout historic Barbizon. A great selection of activities including horse-riding, golf, biking, bouldering, well-being, gourmet food and art galleries. The charming village of Barbizon nestling on the edge of Fontainebleau forest owes its fame to the 19th-century landscape painters Théodore Rousseau, Jean-Baptiste Corot, Charles-Francois Daubigny and Jean-François Millet who lived there. Their artistic movement, the Barbizon School (1830 to 1875), was considered a precursor of Impressionism. The artists appreciated the tranquility of this peaceful village and the beauty of the surrounding nature. Walking along the main street, you'll find a succession of beautiful homes, shops, restaurants and art galleries. The edge of the forest in Barbizon is the departure point for a way-marked walking trail exploring the scenery that inspired these great landscape painters.
