Looking for a quiet relaxing vacation in a park like setting? Stay in this self catered cottage with a view of the lower gardens from your terrace.
Cottage #2 is set up with 1 bedroom with king bed or can have the option of 2 single beds (notify us in advance), fully equipped bathroom with walk in shower, and extra single beds in the slide out sofa provided in the living area. Wood stove in the living room for you to enjoy the cooler low season with comfort. Parking for your car is next to the cottage. Surrounding the cottage are gardens with herbs for fresh grown tea or cooking, seasonal fruits to try, peaceful hidden settings to read your book with your morning coffee or listen to the birds as they go to sleep while enjoying a glass of Azorean wine.
Note that the final cleaning of this cottage is 95 euros and is not included in the quote. Cash can be paid at the door.

Cozy Cottage Getaway

We came to the Azores for my daughter's wedding. My wife picked out this place from the pic's on your site. The place far surpassed the photos. Have never seen grounds that were so beautiful and the cottage was just as nice. Great owners, friendly neighbors. Easy access to the highway. If (or when) we come back, I would stay here once again.

Parfaites prestations, à recommender

Cottage calme et indépendant, située dans un environnement végétal digne d'un parc botanique. La propriétaire nous a reçu chaleureusement en nous informant soigneusement de toutes les possibilités touristiques de l’île. Nous serions resté volontiers plus longtemps dans ce cottage si nous en avions eu la possibilité.

Peace and Tranquility!

After searching for many months hoping to find the ideal place to stay we were beyond delighted to have chosen to stay here! Eduino and Bonita are gracious hosts and our cottage was set in a little piece of paradise. There were bananas growing in more than one place, grape vines and a host of herbs to make tea or to enjoy in our cooking. How sweet it was each morning to sit on the front porch with a simple breakfast and enjoy the beautiful gardens and refreshing breeze. Our cottage was everything we needed. Quaint, super clean and a kitchen adequately stocked for the occasional meal cooked in. We were delighted we had the added bonus of an outside fire pit to grill our freshly caught fish. An additional plus was that the property was gated with only the owners and guests having a remote to get in. The location was superb, just a few minutes drive into Ponta Delgada and minutes from the beach and the market. We highly recommend this property and would definitely choose to stay here again!

Eduino and Bonita Sousa made a life transition when they moved to Sao Miguel in 2006. Eduino , born on Sao Miguel, immigrated as a young boy with his family to western Canada, Alberta in 1968. He met Bonita in College. Throughout the years they have developed expertise in several career environments. Eduino´s profession as a welder developed into a successful art career in metal sculpting. His sculptures are displayed in Canada, United States, France, Belgium and the Azores. A private collection of his works is displayed in Quinta das Acacias; the only private sculptural gardens in the Azores. Bonita, born in Canada has worked more than two decades in sales, administration and bookkeeping. These career experiences have led Eduino and Bonita into a rewarding business of investment and property management.
After travelling to the Azores on vacation with their sons, they pursued the idea of purchasing a vacation home. In the process, they were introduced to Quinta das Acacias. They purchased the quinta in December, 2006 and opened the doors to world travellers in 2007 with new and improved operations. They continue to upgrade , update and renovated cottages throughout the years for their guests comfort.
Today, the proven success of Quinta das Acacias enables Eduino and Bonita to help outside visitors with the purchase and management of their dream vacation home,.
Our goal is to greet and service our guests to the best of our capabilities and see that they leave as new friends with many fond memories to return.
