From the moment we booked, Lee could not have been more helpful. All the way through to checkout he was constantly never to busy to answer questions or queries and even sent us lots of information on where to eat and places to visit during our stay which was great.
We had beautiful weather and had a lovely holiday. Thank you 😊

Lovely campsite, property could do with a few new replacements some things look shabby & broke
Pictures on website are obviously from a few yrs ago, because inside could do with a really good clean, ie things being washed down properly, some things need replacing like dinning chairs, curtains as in main bedroom they where hanging off, & in living area they need a good wash, new mattress beds aren't great, in the single room it looked like the bedding hadn't been changed, also I had to get in touch with the host as we hadn't got any hot water, to which he replied they switch it of because apparently you dont need it, as theres a dish washer & a shower obviously dont matter bout washing your hands or needing hot water to clean, don't get me wrong I washed the bedding & gave the place a good clean, but you shouldn't have to, it's a shame because the campsite was lovely had everything you needed, lovely nice big clean clubhouse with something going off every night, little arcade area, swimming pool could do with little TLC as it's look a little run down, we couldn't use the out door pool as it was thick green with algae, and once again looked run down, also on the website it said you could get a family swimming pass for £42 which is wrong a family pass is £69 or £6 adults £4 children, lovely area to let dogs off on the campsite nice & safe, 10min walk into Kilkhampton where there was a co-op pizza place fish & chip shop pizza are nice & not bad price as we had this twice, bout 10min drive to supermarkets lidl & morrisons also 15min drive into bude, which had a fantastic beach & lots of shops,
The property was modern, great size for a family of 4. Had everything we needed and more. Lovely enclosed decking area for enjoying food and a drink outside. Lee was a fantastic host. Would highly recommend. Will be back. Make sure you use the facilities at the Manor House. Great venue for entertainment/bar etc. restaurant opening summer 2022
We booked for one week holiday but we have to leave the horrible place after 2 days!!!! Empty promises about the swimming poor and Jacuzzi. Neither of them working .No towels , the cups are cracked .no Broadband , no electricity either!
The shower was so small and health hazard, We had fell and bruised !
The owner is rude and dishonest, profit driven , don’t even give refund for the 5 days we have not used . VrBo let us down too by listening to his made up stories..
Overall, it is the worst holiday experience ever in my life. ! Rogue traders
A super spacious lodge. Lovely and clean, comfortable beds and great location. We were welcomed by the owners Lee and Julie, who couldnt have been nicer, with loads of advice about the best places to go. Lots of beaches nearby, although you do need a car to get out and about or there is a bus service running through the village, which is ten minutes away on foot . There are two pubs within walking distance serving nice food and also fish and chip and pizza takeaway. Watched some beautiful sunsets from the huge furnished terrace. Our cockapoo was also welcomed and she too had a great time !
The location is nice and quiet. Lovely place to stay with children. The property owner was very helpful and gave me a lots is information about the local area prior to arrival. They were very thoughtful and I had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for me in the fridge 😊
The lodge was spotlessly clean and welcoming. For once we were not disappointed as the accommodation matched the description perfectly. The deck was lovely and we spent most of our time sitting on it. The site is well kept and welcoming and we enjoyed using the pool very much. Our property manager went out of his way to be helpful and even purchased our electricity cards and swimming pass so that we did not need to. We will definitely stay here again as there is so much to do in the area and we had a lovely relaxing stay in Cornwall.
Lee's chalet within the Penstowe Park was just what I needed as a base from which to explore the coast of Cornwall.. Barnstaple & Appledore to the north, and Bude, Doc Martin, Boscastle, Newquay & Padstow to the south.. with twenty odd cove and surf beaches in between all linked by breathtaking walks along the cliff edge. Would suit a singleton or a family of four that prefer bricks & mortar to a static or caravan and don't want to blow their budget on an holiday cottage. It's compact but has all the stuff you need.. oven, decent sized fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, bath & garden.. I used the Park's swimming pool everyday.. didnt bother with the gym or restaurants. No worries about parking.. but bring your own WiFi dongle & data SIM card.

Manor maybe not
Few issues with facilities especially so called Jacuzzi Bath - worked well- but only Big enough for midgets! Maintenance required several areas especially the blocked overflowing guttering , leaky waste pipe
We found this delightful lodge on the Home and Away web-site. The location was ideal, just North of Bude. The lodge description on the web-site was exactly what we expected. We were definitely not disappointed when we arrived, it had everything that we needed for a weeks staycation with our 11 year old White Lab after a torrid few months with the Coronavirus. The accommodation was very clean and perfectly presentable when we arrived. Within walking distance to the local pub and shops in Kilkhampton, we could not have chosen a more perfect location, and to top it all the weather was glorious. We cannot thank Lee and Julie enough for making our weeks vacation most enjoyable and we will be looking to book this accommodation again for May 2021.
Lee and Julie were there to meet us on arrival very helpful and nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay
