About this property

Heart's Delight Farm Cottage - isolated location

Nestled in a tranquil, unspoilt valley with a wonderful countryside view, this cosy, secluded cottage, with its own garden and parking space, forms part of a Victorian Oast house built in 1867. The Farm is managed to provide a habitat for native species whilst also producing wildflower hay, logs, honey and juice.

There are many footpaths to enjoy directly from the cottage. To the north, the Black Robin pub, serving delicious food, is just over a mile's walk away on a track through woodland. To the east, up over a field and down quiet lanes, Barham has a thriving community shop with local food from various local farms. There is a small play area in Kingston, and a couple more in Barham. Despite being very rural, the fascinating medieval city of Canterbury is a short bus, cycle or drive away. With the amazing cathedral precinct at its heart, the city has many other historic features to explore on foot. Or instead take a punt through Dane John Gardens and experience the beauty of the river Stour. Sandy beaches are readily accessible with Sunny Sands, a lovely secluded beach in Folkestone with a café and a shop or two, or Sandwich, a historic coastal town with an expansive, wild bay, both about 20 minutes away by car. Enjoy gourmet food while you are there at Rock Salt, a famous restaurant. Dover Castle is a great day out, while the Pig, a newly opened boutique hotel, is in the next village up in Bridge, with fine dining on offer. And London is just 56 minutes away on the high speed train from Canterbury West.

Heart's Delight is a superb location for a refreshing holiday in quiet countryside. The cottage has been furnished with families in mind, but couples also find the cottage very appealing. There is a compact upstairs bathroom with shower, and a larger bathroom downstairs for longer soaks.

King size beds or two singles are available in both bedrooms. A travel cot, booster seat and Stokke high chair for toddlers are all in the cottage, along with children's books, videos and a few much loved toys.

A tastefully furnished cottage with rural charm. Comfortably furnished and adequately equipped. A very quiet location in a lovely landscape, directly from the house you can start hiking and enjoy nature, pick berries, watch animals.

knus vakantiehuisje
