The residence is sited in the old traditional settlement of Tyros, East Peloponnese. Tyros, built amphitheatrically on the east slopes of mount Parnon, consists of two-flat houses, with single architectural style and combines both mountain and sea scenery. In our days the hospitable permanent residents, maintain the traditional social web of the village, with their occupations including small vegetable gardens, domestic animals and poultry, olive and locust trees.
The exceptional position of the settlement, as well as the wider region, attracts a lot of Europeans (esp., Austrians, Swiss and Germans) during the last three decades, who own many old stone houses, turning them to seasonal residences, also preserving faithfully the traditional features. Latest local news announced the creation of first water/scuba diving park in Greece, located at Tyros Bay.
