We live the New England area. We have two children and two beautiful granddaughters. We don’t get to Marco nearly as often as we would like to, but hope that in the future we will be able to spend more time there. We enjoy walking the beach, shelling, watching the birds and sea life, and have had the incredible experience of having a dolphin join us for a swim.

Why Lorraine Innes chose Marco Island
We have been vacationing in Marco since 1991. We fell in love with South Seas and Marco Island while visiting friends who owned a condo in the South Seas Club. After that visit we came back three months later and bought our first condo. Still in love with the Island and South Seas Club, five years later we bought a second condo. We love the location of South Seas as it is close to stores, restaurants and the newer areas of the Island such as the Esplanade, Veteran's Park, and all the ice cream establishments on the Island. A very important amenity for my family. It is also closer to the bridge that takes you off the Island.

Marco is a true paradise, whether it is sitting on the balcony enjoying the beach view or eating at one of the fine restaurants or enjoying one of the many activities both on the water and on land, you will fall in love with Marco.

Views good, but condo so/so
Although the view was beautiful, some of our stay was a little disappointing. The beach is nice, but there is a long walk to the water. After a few times out it gets tiring. Some of the condo needs updating, as well. The door deadbolt lock broke after a storm came through, and we were actually stuck inside until a locksmith came to fix it. It took about an hour total, so the manager did get someone out quickly. Then the window came out of the track in the second bedroom. The coffee pot seemed to be broken and we had to buy a new one. The appliances are older and maybe should be upgraded. On a postive note, I will say the beds were comfortable and the pool was nice.
The grounds are pretty, but there is flooding issues. We literally had to walk through smelly flood water that was in front of the bridges to the beach every day. The stay could of been much better if there was upgrades and communication was better.
I am sorry that you were disappointed in your stay. The walk to the water is as pictured on our website and if you had read the material I sent out you would have known to use the footbridge in front of the condo as the walk is shorter than from the pool area. Storms can be strong by the Gulf and judging by your review it seems it was a particularly strong storm.
All the windows and doors are being replaced due to damage from Hurricane Irma. You were told that this work was ongoing and a substantial discount was given because of it. Our condo is due to be done end of summer. If there is a large storm part of the parking area will get water. The association is working on a regrading fix for that. The footbridge in front of the condo does not flood and you do not have to cross the area in the parking lot that has the water problem to get to it.
Our appliances are not old and were replaced in Oct of 2016, making them less than 3 yrs old. At the same time we refaced our cabinets and put all new plumbing appliances in and all new solid surface counters. Prior to that we tiled the entire condo. We update our condo regularly which according to feedback from our guests is appreciated.
Normally if there is a broken coffee pot the guest would notify my agent and he would replace it that day or asap. In fact, the person before you commented that the wheel on our beach cart broke and so did an umbrella. They were replaced the day you arrived for your use. Had you notified my agent they would have replaced the coffee pot that day.
As far as communication goes I emailed you 11 times with construction updates and info for your stay. I only once received a reply back from you a day before your arrival at which time I sent you tons of information on the condo, the area, restaurants, things to do, info on which keys to use and where, how to find the condo, the rental agency and how, where and what you would need for registration. I even called my agent to see if he had a different email address for you because I was not receiving responses from you and my agent did not have a different email for you. I am not sure how much more communication there could have been. I send out so much information that one of my guests compared my information to reading a novel.
Again I am sorry you had some disappointments, but I have to admit that I am baffled by your account of our condo.

The location of the condo is excellent with easy access to the beach. We enjoyed the nice views from the lanai. Lorraine was very helpful in making sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. The condo was well stocked and the king bed was really comfortable. South Seas has good security and a very nice swimming pool.

We do try to make people feel right at home and appreciate your comments. Interesting that you mention the king bed. We get many comments on how comfortable it is and that can be difficult as people vary in what they like.

Great Condo. Great View. Great Beach
For a great stay at a great location, you can't beat this condo. My wife and I have stayed at this unit a number of times and have never been disappointed. The unit and entire South Seas property is beautiful and in a great location. Direct access to the quiet end of the beach, easy access to local restaurants, and the property is never too crowded.
Marco Island is located in the area of the southwest Gulf known as the Paradise Coast. It is just north of the Everglades and just south of Naples. Because of Marco's location, it offers not only many opportunities for activities locally, but access to all the amenities that Naples and the Everglades have to offer. The Marco area is loaded with opportunities for water sports, night life, zoos, museums, and water parks. It's also a rich source of live entertainment including comedy clubs, amateur and professional theater, and an assortment of night clubs and music. The natural habitat right outside your window is a wonder to behold. Take guided nature walks on the beach and learn about the shells, birds, turtles and other creatures that live there. You may prefer to just kick back and relax. What better place to do it from than one of our condos in Marco Island.
