Hi, we are a family of 4 who lives in London and loves spending time in France. We had a crush on Eymethouse few years ago, a charming building in a beautiful area, easily accessible from Uk. This house suits everyone's needs: my husband can work independently from the study, my daughters can cycle, do canoe or accrobranching close by and myself enjoy the sunshine, the country walk and local events.
Edwige purchased this Townhouse in 2015
Why Edwige chose Eymet
Originally the house was the village postman residence, a modest house for a well known member of the local community. Located in the centre of the village, with views overlooking the chateau and nearby park, it’s no more than 5 minutes from restaurants, bars and the main square in Eymet. It also has plentiful public parking nearby. Walls of the house are covered with interesting "lost letters" as early as the 1930s. We hope these little Gems are as fascinating for you as they have been for the family to read.
What makes this Townhouse unique
Restored in 2016, family owners have retained its original charm. Centre piece is an oval stair case that leads to the high ceiling bedrooms and spacious bathroom on the first floor. Adapting the old reception room, originally directly connected to the post office, into a quaint and quirky library for those who like to sit and read quietly in this hectic world.

Long and short walks along rivers and lakes or bike hire to explore a little more of the area without having to drive, or maybe visit a historic site or two. The adventurous among you can canoe, acrobranching, aquapark, all are less than 30mins away from your front door. It's a long list and you will not have time to stop and relax if you try them all!
