Quiet, clean Villa
We just enjoyed a week away at this spectacularly clean, lovely villa Marianna I. The area is very quiet and ideal if you want a peaceful holiday. Be prepared, it’s a good 20 minute walk uphill from Nidri with no proper pathway. We wish we had hired a car in hindsight as it’s hard to carry shopping in the heat and we ended up getting Taxis home in the evening for €10 each.
Plus points - Quiet, clean, plenty of lovely seating, comfortable beds, good showers. Pool in the sun until 6pm. Well laid out and built villa. Polite, respectful hosts.
Negative points - slightly overlooked by new villas behind and half built villa in front ruins the view. We could have done with more basic supplies. Coal for the BBQ (we couldn’t find any in the small supermarkets) basic ingredients for cooking such as oil and salt, dishwasher tablets and some cleaning products to wipe down the table after a meal etc. having a small amount of these things would have meant we didn’t need to buy and leave behind as we didn’t use it all.
Also weren’t shown anywhere to put our rubbish. We kept rubbish bags in the villa as there are lots of stray cats so we didn’t want to leave outside. The owner took these away for us on day 2 when they came and cleaned though. An outside bin would be helpful.
Overall, we had a lovely relaxing stay as the positives well out weighed the small negatives.
