About this property

3 Bedroom Villa with Totally Private Infinity Pool + Indoor Pool and Sauna

This stunning new 3 bedroom villa is located in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains in Kalkan's Kordere district. With uninterrupted views across Kalkan Bay, all bedrooms have balconies from which to enjoy this breathtaking view.
The ground floor accommodation consists of a spacious open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area , which opens directly on to the pool terrace.
The pool is 10 x 3.4 metres in size and has a depth of 1.55 metres. This pool has been designed to be secluded from outwith the villa making a good choice for those families wishing a high degree of privacy, be it for religious or other reasons.
On the pool terrace there are ample sunbeds, umbrellas, comfortable seating and an alfresco dining area, all for our guests to use.
In addition there is also an indoor pool, some 4 x 4 metres, depth 1.4 metres and with a hydromassage feature, which can be heated in the cooler months of the year for an additional 750 Turkish Lire per day, payable in cash on arrival. This makes this an ideal choice for those guests looking to come in the cooler months of the year. Please note that this pool can be heated to approximately 28 degrees centigrade depending on the ambient air temperature, so it is NOT hot as such. Guests wishing for this pool to be heated should inform us at least 2 days before their arrival in order for it to be able to reach the maximum temperature by that time.
Villa had a renovation on 2023 and Sauna is available too at villa.

The two double bedrooms and the one twin bedroom are located on the upper floor. They all have views, en-suite bathrooms and balconies, and the master bedroom has a massive double jacuzzi too!
The property is air conditioned throughout, has wi-fi internet and parking adjacent parking.
Guests staying here would really need the use of a car due to the steepness of the hillside the villa is located on. Alternatively guests may prefer to use the reasonably priced taxi service ( a taxi to the centre is approximately £3-4 sterling).

The nightly rates shown are based on a minimum of 7 nights occupancy. Accordingly please note that for reservations of 5 nights or less there is an additional charge of 3000 Turkish Lire for cleaning of the villa , payable in cash on arrival .

Wonderful views, not so sure about the location
The villa is very modern, though there are some maintenance issues which require attention e.g. handles on the sliding doors fall off. When we filled the jacuzzi there was brown detritus coming from the jets, so we didn’t use it during our stay. The description states ‘no smoking’ which was at odds with burn holes in the settee and outside cushions, as well as the 3 dirty ash trays, one in a kitchen drawer. We couldn’t get the television in the lounge to work and eventually realised the batteries in the remote were dead. Each bedroom has a private balcony with great views overlooking the infinity swimming pool and the sea. The beds were comfortable and the location quiet. Having stayed in Kalkan previously, we thought we were familiar with both the villa location and the steepness of the surrounding hills and that, as with previous visits, we would be able to walk into the village and get a taxi back. We were wrong. The villa is much further out from the village than we had anticipated, the steepness is not to be underestimated and walks of any length are virtually impossible irrespective of fitness levels. There is a choice of reasonably stocked supermarkets situated within 100 metres of the villa. Prices are considerably cheaper than supermarkets situated in the village but the walk back up is so steep that only the fittest can do it, never mind carrying the shopping bags! It is generally well appointed though doesn’t cater well for European travellers. For example, there were nice drinking glasses for Turkish tea, but no glasses suitable for beer (which we bought from the supermarket), no toaster, and even the kettle was a very different design and concept to a European kettle. The owner should provide a written guide explaining, for example, how the television works and which channels, if any, are in English, other local amenities e.g. local supermarkets, advising that all the taxi drivers use WhatsApp so booking a cab is free and your location can be sent via WhatsApp. We think the villa is overpriced and doesn’t represent value for money. Little touches would have helped, e.g. providing a ‘starter pack’ of basic food items, especially when you arrive at 03.00 in the morning, and having cleaners mid week for a quick clean. There were no tea-towels, no washing up cloth, capsules for the dish washer, washing machine etc. Indeed, the cupboards were all bare so do not expect to find any provisions other than a toilet roll in each toilet

Looks good but disappointed
Booking process was easy. The pictures and description online made us feel that this property would be ideal for us to spend with our children. We knew it was the end of the turkish season and would be quite cold in evening but we opted for this property as it stated there was an indoor HEATED pool as long as we paid extra for the heating. We planned to pay for this when we arrived at the property as the listing didn't give any further details. However, when we arrived and found the outdoor and indoor pool too cold to use in the day and night, we asked for the heating to be turned on in the pool as advertised. We were then told that the heaters for the pool had not been installed and this was not possible. This was very disappointing and spoilt the holiday for our children who were looking forward to a pool holiday. We then had no choice but to spend everyday going out of the villa instead of using the pool as planned. The actual villa is built to a high standard and was very clean. The steep drive to the villa can be challenging and we opted to park our car about half way up the road on some waste ground. There was no welcome pack; all villas we have stayed in previously provide at least some milk and basic items. We had to go to the local supermarket upon arrival to get milk bread and water. The owners should provide something especially if you arrive late at night. To summarise, it's a really nice villa but the misleading and false description spoilt the holiday for us.
