Beautiful Get Away!
Overall the property was a relaxing get away. The mountain views were amazing! Lumpers was a nice little pub down the street. The hiking trails were wonderful! Once we figured out the coal stove for hot water we happy. There is no WIFI or bus stop close by so that was a bit difficult at times.

too cold for me in winter...
With winter temperatures reaching 0, -1, -2, the only heat in this cottage is 1 coal burning stove in the living room. It was impossibly bitter cold throughout the house. We left after the 2nd night of a 3 night booking. There is no wifi or internet hookup in the house, none at all. there is 1 small tv in the living room with 7 stations available and good reception of those 7 stations. The cabin itself is very quaint, very homey and with views from high atop a hill that were breathtaking. Part of the property is a Christmas tree farm, and was very scenic to look at! John, the owner did call us to make sure we had found the place OK as it is a bit remote to find. We were most appreciative of his help locating it. He also followed up with a text message advising where to find the coal. The area is beautiful with lots of hiking opportunities. I would recommend this place during warm months only, and for outdoor enthusiasts as there is no wifi - you really are "getting away from it all" here!!
