About this property

As you are considering a mountain vacation, we invite you to consider our home in Snowmass, which is located up the mountainside and across from the Snowmass Country Club, a mile from ski lift parking for the Snowmass Ski runs, with nearby shuttle bus access or village pick-up by reservation, and a fifteen minute drive into Aspen, with its legendary skiing and wide range of restaurants.

Our home has three bedrooms and, with three full baths, it provides all of the amenities of home. Its deck overlooks the vast Brush Creek Valley and the Snowmass Country Club. In the distance, you view the length of Owl Creek Valley, even past Aspen Mountain.

The master bedroom is on the upper level of the house, where you will also find the kitchen, family living and dining room, and a deck overlooking the adjacent valleys. The lower level includes 2 bedrooms (one of which is a large, family-style room), 2 baths, and utility room with full-sized washer and dryer.

Amenities include a large family room, with oversized wood burning fireplace, where it's easy to enjoy the aroma of pinion wood as the flames glow, a kitchen that is fully equipped for entertaining, and all linens supplied.

This is a NON-SMOKING home, and NO PETS are allowed.

Perfect Location, Comfortable Amenities

This location is so close to all four Aspen/Ski Mass mountains - perfect for ski & snowboard lovers. The three bedrooms all have their own dedicated bathrooms; which makes sharing a house with friends so easy. The kitchen was well appointed; we lacked for nothing. Best of all the owner was a blessing to work with and so helpful. We couldn't have asked for a nicer person to work with. We appreciated the history of the family home and how well the owners knew the area. We would definitely stay at this home again!

Such a wonderful home! Everything was perfect for our needs.

Wonderful home with perfect views. So much wildlife and the communication with the owner was great! They had everything in the house that we needed. We had a VRBO small condo in Snowmass that cancelled on us 6 days before departure. We stumbled on this amazing whole house with so much more room. What a blessing! We will come back for sure.

Great stay at classic mountain chalet with a great location.

This property has an excellent location in Snowmass and is just a few minutes away from skiing or the village. We loved our stay in this incredibly well supplied house.

About the host

Your host

Our families have owned the house since it was constructed. We are two families with common grandparents, and many of us grew up using the house when we could be in the mountains. Our parents selected this lot above all others in the Snowmass area because of its view and the knowledge that the house would always enjoy a spectacular natural setting.

Why they chose this property

We treat this house as home. We have selected furnishings that work well with families with active children as well as adults, and have made some effort to avoid a "second-class" feel in the fabrics, the furniture, the kitchen, and the technology in the house. Above all it is a peaceful place (when not occupied by many children) and provides a sense of comfort difficult to find.

What makes this property unique

The view from the house can hardly be matched and the property provides peaceful spots among the trees, and some places to play. The areas of Snowmass and Aspen (and further down-valley, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs) reveal many natural wonders, and much sophisticated dining and cultural events. The skiing and hiking are justifiably famous.
