Perfect Cottage
We have stayed here several times which is an endorsement of how great the cottage is and in an ideal location with a fantastic pub on the doorstep.

Cornwall holiday
We booked Chocolate Box Cottage back in January from Cornwall Hidaways there description and pictures of this cottage are not a true representation of this cottage at all. When we arrived on the 10th September 2021 we found it to be extremely dirty every surface that you touched was sticky we ended up having to clean the entire kitchen and bathroom ‘we could not connect to the WiFi on further inspection we found the cushions ‘settee and rug with all sorts of smelly stains . We rang Cornwall Hidaways to report the issues they called us back and offered to get the house keeper out and offered no real fix to the WiFi l had to chase them over the next few days to sort this out when eventually a maintenance guy attended he found the same problem that we had and had to carry out a factory reset he also told us that there company no longer carried out the cleaning or maintenance and so never checked out the property condition at all we also reported the bathroom stinks of urine .WE told them about the windows that were so dirty you had a job to see out of them they told us that they are cleaned with out fail every two weeks this again is not true they were dirty when we arrived and two weeks later they were still dirty the garden was unusable the grass needed cutting and was a mess We made the best of our two week break that we could having paid for a very sub standard cottage and on our return again contacted Cornwall Hidaways of which they are not interested they have answers for everything do not believe the feedback on there website regarding this cottage as it is not independent there is no comments book in the cottage which we felt speaks volumes Cornwall Hidaways thinks that we will roll over but they are wrong AVOID THIS COTTAGE AND COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Cosy Chocolate Box
We loved our stay at The Chocolate Box. The cottage is wonderfully cute, equipped and cosy. We stayed in August but this property would be an ideal place to return to and snuggle on the sofas out of season. The garden is great but accessed down a narrow paved path which was a little unusual. Mithian is a quaint hamlet and well connected but a car is needed to get about. With the types of roads outside of the hamlet, running and walking (we have a dog) are a little tricky. St Agnes however is the most perfect seaside Cornish village and we drove the 5 minutes journey everyday to visit the beach (plus benches for people watching), village and a range of very cool places to grab food/eat. Would happily stay at the Chocolate Box again.

Awesome little cottage
The communication with Cornwall Cottages was excellent from the outset. On arrival at the cottage it took us a short time to work out how to access the back door (through the post office garden) but once inside we were really pleased with our choice. The cottage is well appointed with nothing missing to provide a great stay. Although you have to duck a little at the rear of the cottage, it wasn’t a big deal to my tall husband. We found it to be a great base to visit lots of beautiful coastline. The garden is lovely but please note we did lose a very small dog through the hedge but our bigger dog couldn’t escape at all. Luckily the neighbour brought him back as his escape only led to another garden. We did encounter a snorer next door but we only heard him one night. The location of this cottage is fantastic, right across from the Miners Arms which is a lovely pub with lovely food but it’s also away from the crowds but close to lots of lovely places. We would certainly consider this cottage again if we were to return to Cornwall. It was perfect for us

Our Cornish holiday
We spent a week in Chocolate Box cottage, beautiful little holiday home in a lovely quiet village with a great pub on the doorstep. The cottage was clean and comfortable, bed very comfy, lovely garden where we sat and had coffee every morning, we would love to return another time. The only thing that became a problem was parking outside the cottage as it wasn’t guaranteed. All in all a great week at this quaint cottage.
