Quiet, Surrounded by Nature and an Excellent Host

The location is quiet, on a farm, which is great for the kids to see a bit more of nature. The host is friendly, responsive and accommodating. The caravan has a double bed, and 4 single beds, a toilet with shower and a separate toilet too. Useful to have more than one. The kitchen is also well stocked with plates, pots, cutlery etc. The property is a bit on the older side and hence it is showing some wear. It's worth mentioning that it's all electric, so don't expect to be able to prepare a Sunday roast in the oven or everyone to have a shower in the morning one after another. There is however a shower block next door as the site is also used for other caravans/camping.

Our experience

The location where the caravan is attracts more spiders and flies, the furniture was very old and uncomfortable and the windows are so old and rusty that they don't even close. To flush the toilet, you have to press very hard and it doesn't even work sometimes. For two days, there was no hot water in the shower or taps. And at 4am, the fire alarm rang for no reason, and it rang again the next night wake-up my kids and my baby. And the night after that, at around 2am something or someone knocked on our window and five minutes later, the fire alarm rang then we took it off and it rang again. Overall, this is a huge waste of time and money it's not worth £552

Short break

We used this caravan as a base during the warm bank holiday, spent all of the day and evening out. Thankfully the shower block was only next door. Really good well stocked farm shop and friendly owners who were always on hand for any problems.
