The Jackson #115 - The Cabins at Lexington
Why Hadley Miller chose Lexington
The Cabins at Lexington were built in 2006-2007 by George and Dana Miller to provide off-campus housing to upper classmen attending Washington and Lee University. At the time, George was the CEO of Southland Log Homes and their daughter, Hadley, was concerned about finding a convenient and safe place to live off campus. The 9-plus acres of woods provided the perfect setting for a log cabin or two. Demand was such that they decided to build five. Students occupied The Cabins from 2007-2017. Washington and Lee now requires all underclassmen except seniors to live on campus. This policy change prompted the decision to switch The Cabins from student rentals to short-term rentals. The Millers had personally experienced the shortage of hotel rooms during “big” weekends of the VMI and WNL calendars. They enjoy all that the Lexington area has to offer and want to allow others to do so by offering convenient, comfortable cabins on a short term rental basis.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Cabins have been named in honor of men who served our country as well as the Lexington area. They easily could have walked this property.

Spacious, clean, charming. Surrounded by woods, convenient location. Very responsive owner/manager.
Thoughtfully appointed, with everything from wine opener to stain stick. Were able to comfortably fit 6 adults and 9 kids, with the help of a few air mattresses. Great location. Deeply appreciated Hadley's ready availability to answer my many questions before hand!
Great cabin close to everything Lexington has to offer
The cabin was very clean, comfortable and appointed with everything one could need when traveling with a family. My mother and two small children and I stayed in the cabin and had PLENTY of room. The furnishings are simple and met our needs, plus the location was great with it being only 5 minutes to town and 15 minutes to the Virginia Horse Park. Owner was accommodating and provided grocery shopping services, which is great when traveling with young kids. Our only complaint is that the living room sofa is VERY lump and low. We would definitely stay again.
Great cabin & great location!
We have 3 families stay the weekend here for a mini-reunion at VMI. The house had plenty of comfortable beds and space to spread out if desired. The kitchen and family room were adequate size to accommodate a majority of our group. The owners were very thoughtful in stocking the facility with plenty of cooking utensils, towels, shower gel, trash bags, etc. We will definitely be back.
great house and super responsive owner!
We were in town for a family wedding and this place worked out perfectly.
