About this property

Our contemporary cabin is located 10 minutes (6 miles) from the town of Telluride. We are 2.7 miles form the Town of Mountain Village Gondola parking structure. The Gondola is a fun, free ride to town. There is also an extensive trail system for hiking, biking and running that can be accessed from within the neighborhood.

Please read this before requesting to book, ESPECIALLY if booking during winter months (Nov-April)our property may not be for everyone...

The house is nestled on the side of the hill and access requires descent of several stairs. We would not advise renting this property if you have a person who cannot manage 50 outdoor stairs. The house is located at 9200ft, the stairs will get your heart rate up, every time! We have a professional snow removal service who will keep the property maintained, the snow melts quickly on the elevated graded metal steps The pathway is well lit with a motion light illuminating the path.

A gourmet kitchen comes stocked with all the utensils and kitchenware that you will need to make a great meal including a vita-mix, vermont castings grill and convection oven. The flagstone patio is a unique spot to enjoy a meal with friends while taking in the amazing view. The home is equipped with an 4 zone indoor/outdoor sound system to enjoy your favorite music while cooking and entertaining on the patio.

This rental is perfectly suited for people who want to be close to town, but prefer the tranquility of an aspen forrest. Recreational activities abound in the Telluride area and the San Juan Mountains, no matter what your passion from motocross to painting. There is something for everyone or just relax and enjoy the view of Mt. Wilson, Wilson Peak, Whipple Mountain and the Sneffels Mountain Range.

This property is small and cozy, with wonderful views. Two queen bedrooms with down comforters, luxury linens and goose down pillows. One bedroom also has an additional queen murphy bed, this option makes the room useful for families with kids. There are two full bathrooms, one bath tub and one with a steam shower.

We travel with our pets and are happy to accommodate you and your fuzzy fur children (no cats).

Winter Road Conditions
Steep icy grades are the standard for this area. Experience driving in snow and ice is strongly recommend. Four wheel drive and proper tires are also recommended. The neighborhood roads are maintained by the county and the driveway and walkways are professionally maintained.

Skiing: Our home is NOT ski in/ski out. Closest life access is mountain village, roughly 2 miles away.

Neighborhood trails
There is a series of neighborhood trails accessible from fox farm rd. snowshoes are recommended during winter months.

Biking trails
Mtbproject will provide you information on the vast array of mountain bike trails.
Best to start at the mountain village gondola and orient from there.

Uber has responded to the house.
There is no lyft at this point in time.

Gondola
The gondola at mountain village is a great resource to access town, start your ski day, start your hike/bike.

Gorgeous property with one of the best views in telluride

This property is magical and enjoyable. We loved every corner of the home and setting. We had a few small things come up that the property owners were great with promptly solving. Great communication.

Ski week in Telluride with our pups

This was our first time to Telluride and definitely not our last. We had the BEST time vacationing with our dogs at Emily and Sean's beautiful home. The description of this property really doesn't even do it justice. The views from the whole home are amazing. It is wonderfully cozy and well-appointed. Check-in was a breeze and we were able to communicate with Emily throughout our stay. She was always very responsive and helpful. The welcome book was also helpful to guide our adventures and dining experiences. It snowed the first day and the clean-up crew came quickly to shovel and manicure the stairs/outdoor area with little disturbance, which was wonderful! The neighbors in the area of the Ski Ranches were very friendly and we felt, obviously, very safe. The stairs are definitely not for the faint of sea level-living hearts or skiddish pups (we carried our one dog up and down the stairs- drama queen) but by the end of the week, we were almost not phased haha. The location was perfect for us - a very short drive to mountain village (free parking and free gondola, which the dogs enjoyed!) And a little longer but still short drive to town. The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with coffee beans awaiting our arrival, an efficient washer and dryer, and a wonderful steam shower. One of the very few/only negatives was that the heat seemed a little finicky but the heated floors were lovely in the bathroom and the gas fireplace heated the home quickly. Thank you for a wonderful Telluride stay! We hope to return and take advantage of all the spring/summer activities right outside the door!

Great spot close to town

The home is beautiful and the views truly can't be beat in the fall when the aspens are changing. The bed was actually really comfortable, which is more and more rare with vacation rentals. The gas fireplace is a nice touch, as well as the many cozy sitting areas throughout the house, all with excellent views. I really appreciated that there was a dirt path below the outdoor stairs that the dogs could use because the metal grate stairs for the humans hurt their feet. A very thoughtful inclusion! It was a beautiful and tranquil stay and we will definitely return if we're ever back in the area. Truly the only improvement it needs is to fix the sink in the primary bathroom and fix the Sonos so the speakers throughout the house can be used.
