House-Private Bathroom-The Old Dairy

The cottages sleep up to 6 people each and are fully equipped with excellent furniture, TV, DVD and video players. Bed linen is provided and the beds made up prior to arrival. Kitchens include integrated dishwasher, fridge and microwave, oil fired central heating plus wood-furner in the lounge. Garden/patio with furniture and barbecue.

Ground floor: Lounge / kitchen / dinner, toilet / cloakroom.
Top floor: One double bed, one twin bed, bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and basin (shower over bath).
A very warm, friendly welcome awaits you at our traditional arable beef, and dairy farm ideally located on the Devon/Cornwall border and popular with guests touring the many attractions in the West Country.
We offer excellent four star accommodation on a 375 acre farm in a beautiful quiet rural location but easily accessible from the A30 (4 miles).
Enjoy a relaxing break in one of our cottages with all essential appliances, fixtures and furnishings.

All four cottages have their own distinctive features and characteristics. A traditional country decor resides throughout with exposed beams and wood burners set in stone fire places creating a warm atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by. The cottages sleep up to 6 people each and are fully equipped with excellent furniture, TV, DVD and video players. Bed linen is provided and the beds made up prior to arrival. Kitchens include integrated dishwasher, fridge and microwave, oil fired central heating plus wood-burners in the lounge. There are a garden/patio with furniture and barbecue for each cottage

The first things you will notice on your arrival at the working farm is the warm welcome you receive from Linda and her family who will do their up most to ensure your stay is remembered for all the right reasons.
In addition to our accommodation we have a lake where fishing is allowed with a large variety of fresh water fish,
a games room, a large play area and a garden sun room to sit quietly

You will meet the traditional farmers Derek, James and Raymond milking the Holstein Frisian dairy cows twice a day who will have great delight in showing you the calves being fed, the cows milked and the beef cattle
You are welcome to join in with every day life on the farm.
Enjoy the quiet walks on the farm
Traditional English farmhouse breakfasts are offered in the conservatory in the the farmhouse

Frankaborough farm has been in The Banbury family for over a 100 years Derek, Raymond and James are traditional farmers milking the cows twice a day
We sell our milk to Dairy Crest where it goes to make Cathedral City and Davistow cheese Milk is collected everyday by large milk tankers
We make our silage and hay every year and life is very busy on the farm
Linda started converting the barns for holiday accommodation 20 years ago and now has 6 holiday cottages on the farm AA 4 star graded and also offers bed and breakfast in the farmhouse
Linda was originally from London and married Derek 40 years ago She was District nurse in Holsworthy for 25 years and recently retired from this vocation
Our aim is to educate our visitors in every day life on the farm
