St. Lawrence Waterfront House - Thousand Islands

This is a charming and spacious waterfront house located on a quiet bay of Oak Point on the St. Lawrence River perfect for a relaxing getaway. The River is a spectacular waterway with fantastic fishing, freshwater swimming, and amazing sunset views. The cottage has a private dock. Located about 25 minutes from Alexandria Bay & Boldt Castle, and 40 minutes to Ontario, Canada.

The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths, including a bedroom and bath on the first floor. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, and kitchen with everything ready for your stay. A large deck with grill overlooks the river perfect for reading, relaxing and outdoor dining. The large master bedroom has its own balcony; the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine as the evening sunsets. There is a large grass yard to the river with access to launch kayaks or canoes. The house was freshly painted throughout.

This is truly a unique community on the St Lawrence river. There is plenty of privacy at the cottage but the locals are wonderful. A beautiful swimming dock with sandy bottom is 100 yards from our dock. The water is crystal clear.

The cottage sits on a quiet bay that is open to the river so it is protected from the river chop. The dock is easily accessed from launching your boat at the town launch on the other side of the bay. The best approach to the dock is provided with your welcome letter.

Family friendly, quiet and peaceful.

We truly enjoyed a our stay! The house was very spacious with great views, a peaceful environment and a friendly neighborhood. The large raised deck was our hangout spot for grilling dinners and having laughs. The large family style tables inside and out were great. The fire pit and dock were also convienient as we had a boat and plenty of campfires. Lots of smaller to fish to catch from the docks, but 4lb smallmouths caught along the shoals just out in front of the "Oak Point cove". The public swimming dock makes this place a family memory maker and will keep the kids having fun for days. The name surely reflects the views as well! The sunsets were magnificent!!

We had great family vacation. We caught many fish, loved the swimming area. The dock was great for 2 boats. The deck has a great outdoor table with plenty of seating. The neighbors were so friendly. The house is a great setup and could be a retreat. There is plenty of space for a very large family (which we had). However, the house needs a deep clean. We found it very dirty. The kitchen cupboards are old and very very stinky. We had to wash all of the dishes and silverware before we could use them. And the beds are very hard. I was in contact with the owner and they wanted to send a cleaning service which we decided we didn't want to do.

Cleanliness neglect and goose poop

Windows, window sills, door sills and screens have not been cleaned in months, if not years. Yard and dock full of goose poop made it impossible for children to use.
