Welcome to our Smart home! Make yourself comfortable, because this house will do everything for you: we have installed the Loxone automation system, that allows you to do things such as turning lights on/off, opening blinds, listening to music, watching TV with the touch of a button, or by simply entering the rooms.

We love all things quirky, and we have carefully handpicked each piece for our interiors.
We're the closest accommodation to the York racecourse, and a 20 minutes walk from the city walls.
The house includes two bedrooms, tiled big bathroom with underfloor heating and large wet room with rain fall shower head, a beautiful living room with automated concealed projector screen and real wooden floor, separated dining room, tiled kitchen with underfloor heating.

Smart houses are not for us

We were traveling from the US, not used to the narrow streets to begin with, and the parking situation created a VERY narrow lane to navigate. We booked a VRBO so we could have some space to spread out as my husband and I were traveling with our adult, teenage son. The master bed was pretty comfortable, but the other bed was so squeaky it kept our son up all evening. While the idea of a smart house sounded fun, we were missing normal light switches by the time we left the next day. Somehow, the curtains opened every time we tried to turn off the lights in the master bedroom, and the music came on in the other room in the morning when our son tried to turn on the light. The door knob in the bathroom was missing entirely from the inside of the door. It took some doing to figure out how to lock it. Everything was clean, and the communication with the owners was excellent.
