This beautifully appointed villa is located in one of the nicest areas of the ever popular South Finger of Jolly Harbour.Set in an ideal location with views of the Marina and hills beyond.

This idyllic 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom villa is just 2 minutes walk from one of Antigua’s finest white sandy beaches.

The villa itself is built over 2 levels, on the upper level you have 2 good size bedrooms, both complete with en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom and guest bedroom both offer has great views from there own private patio perfect for you morning coffee of sundowner.

The lower level consists of an open-plan kitchen with all modern appliances, with a dining area leading to the living room that opens onto the patio is fitted with mosquito nets and hurricane shutters throughout. The patio facing east you get the morning sun and a cool Caribbean breeze all day, which is ideal for outside living.

The villa is located within a 5 minute walk to the commercial centre and marina, where there are an abundance of shops including a large supermarket, 3 banks, a pharmacy, selection or bars and restaurants.

From here you are also only a short stroll to the 18 hole golf course and the and the sports centre which offers tennis, squash and basketball courts. You can have it all in paradise so book now!

Villa is in a perfect location. The decking to the rear has sun in the morning through to afternoon. A short walk to a beautiful large beach with 2 bars and local life. Everything worked properly in the kitchen and throughout the villa. As is common with this development, there are some chipped tiles and general minor flaws. Both bedrooms have balconies, one sea view the other the road but it gets the afternoon sun. The commercial centre with several restaurants, some shops and a well stocked supermarket is a 10 minute stroll away. The swimming pool at the Crows Nest bar and sports centre appears to be nearing a reopening - it is full of water anyway. The local bus service leaves from the road next to the main security entrance. It is frequent, takes about 20 minutes to St Johns and costs EC$ 3.25 (roughly £1 or US$ 1.30) each way. I have been coming to Jolly Harbour every 4 years or so since the 90s and can thoroughly recommend this villa. Both bedrooms are large with en suite and 2 couples would not feel cramped for space. The whole feel of Jolly Harbour is that you are quickly accepted as part of the community by the other residents and the staff who maintain the environment and provide security on site.

Decent property, terrible management company

The managing company, Absolute Properties, are downright dishonest. The swimming pool that they continue to advertise has been closed for months with no sign that it will ever re-open. Despite booking nearly a year in advance they neglected to inform us and then insisted that, as the closure was beyond their control, they would not make any refund. They may be right that the closure is beyond their control, but the promises they make are very much in their control and I have reported their misrepresentation to the Antiguan Tourist Ministry . If the beach is your thing, and you don't care about the pool, then there is not much in the advert to disappoint. Whilst it is not "beautifull equipped" (sic) it is broadly as described. The beach is very close, the supermarket is a brisk 5 minute walk or a leisurely 10 minute stroll away. There were a few minor maintenance niggles, leaky taps, blown light bulbs etc. which suggest carelessness more than anything else. The air conditioning units are noisy and, I suspect, much in need of a service. The BBQ worked and was reasonably clean. The dishwasher and washing machine were fine too. The wi-fi was OK and worked on the ground floor balcony and in the bedrooms. The stairs are very narrow so carrying suitcases upstairs is a two person job. We packed to leave downstairs, which saved a lot of unnecessary heaving. We brought many domestic things with us, dishwasher tablets, washing machine capsules, toiletries etc. as these are very expensive on Antigua. The supermarket charges normal Antiguan prices but fresh fruit and vegetables are eye wateringly priced so stick to local produce whenever you can. I hope you like mango and sweet potato. Last word about the management company. Our damages deposit was refunded promptly and in full. Who knows if this was normal or because we had told them we had arrival and departure photographs? I would recommend you do likewise and tell them you have done so.

Breathtaking view... BUT... a lot of deferred maintenance!

Our first clue that this unit had issues were when we opened the screen door on arrival and the screen fell out and and almost hit us. My husband jerry-rigged a solution using bread ties to keep the screen in place. We found out from a neighbor that it had blown off its hinges the previous week and she had put it back on. None of the screen doors open or close. They are permanently jammed - unusable. Consequently, I am covered in mosquito bites. Bring your 'Off'! You will need it! What looked lovely in the pictures did not show tile flooring with huge chips out of it from misuse or carelessness, I do not know. The fridge door handle is chipped and rusted. In the downstairs half bath, there is no hot water to wash your hands. As you go up the stairs to the bedrooms, more chipped, broken concrete (?) steps to more chipped tiles in the bedrooms. The bathroom shower drain in the secondary bedroom has such slow drainage, I don't think even Mr. Plumber could help. Both shower caddies are rusted and the cup/ toothbrush holders are the same! We contacted the rental agency at least 3/4 times about the fact that the t.v not working at all! Guess when it was fixed? The day before we left! The unit has amazing views, a great location on the south finger, but if disinterested ownership or rental management doesn't care for this property...it will fall to pieces. At any rate, we won't rent here again.

Paradise

Thank you Deano and Jacky for allowing us to stay at your villa. The villa was so close to the Jolly Beach and Castaways! It is great that Jolly Harbour has everything you need for self catering at the local supermarket and numerous restaurants throughout the community. Your villa had everything you needed from beach towels to kitchen utensils and the layout was perfect. We love sitting out on the patio with the awning and watching the sailboats leave the harbour. We will be back! Your property management team was very helpful and we might add the villa was so clean, most enjoyable vacation!
