Three steps up, lead into a contemporary white kitchen with a ceramic tiled floor, large fridge/freezer and brightly coloured dining chairs and table. There are two other spacious and individually styled bedrooms and a bathroom located on the first floor, and a ground floor shower/wet room. Each bedroom has its own TV, and chromecast offering the flexibility to suit all family needs.
Outside, the enclosed lawned garden has a private hot tub, ideal for relaxing in with a glass of wine whilst admiring the panoramic vistas.
Oak House is only a short distance from Market Rasen which is a bustling market town standing on the western edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The town is popular with walkers and cyclists and there are great routes and trails criss-crossing the surrounding area. Guests can start their walks from the door of Oak House through the woodland, and across the road is a popular walk to Tealby and Walesby villages along the ridge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. A mountain biking track is half a mile away from Oak House via an off-road track.
Market Rasen High Street is home to independent shops and businesses. You will find traditional and long-standing family run shops including ironmongers, butchers, menswear confectionery, haberdashery and gift shops. The town boasts plenty of high-quality and award-winning places to eat.
The village of Tealby is about 30 minutes’ walk away from Oak house and Chestnut Cottage. There you will find the Kings Head pub-, the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire; and three must -visit Tealby tearooms with its quaint setting, and delightful afternoon teas. Or walk over to Walesby, home of All Saints 'Ramblers' Church. This iconic medieval church overlooks the village on the Viking Way. The view from the church is quite spectacular and inside is a beautiful stained glass window, depicting walkers and cyclists.
