About this property

Sunnylea - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4

Just back from the high street of Tidewell is this superb country cottage. Once you walk through the door every room will bring a smile to your face and each room embraces the original features of the cottage. The cottage has two lounges, both with glowing log burning stoves, wooden beams overhead and exposed stone walls, you’ll feel snug and cosy while sitting on the comfortable furniture. The kitchen is nicely fitted, well equipped and rather unique with a natural wooden pillar and the dining room is just right. The bedrooms are attractively decorated, comfortable and definitely have that snug cottage feel to them.
Please note: there are several changes of level on the ground floor, internal stone steps as well as the narrow carpeted staircase, so the cottage is not really suitable for toddlers or the less mobile.
Take a short stroll into the village centre and browse the traditional shops, tearooms and local pubs. Venture a little further and you’ll find yourself walking besides the River Wye in Millers Dale, or on the Limestone Way heading across the Peaks. Of course, the wonders of Derbyshire aren't a long car journey away, such as Buxton and its amazing Opera House, Bakewell with its famous Pudding, and Chatsworth House with its beautiful gardens, adventure playground and farmyard. Grab a train ride on the Peak’s Rail steam railway or investigate Poole’s Cavern.
After the day is done, return back to Sunnylea and enjoy a glass of something special in the cottage’s glorious terraced garden.

Lovely cottage, fantastic location
We had a great time at Sunnylea. It's slightly quirky in its layout but extremely comfortable, well looked after and an excellent location for exploring the beautiful peak district

Lovely cottage
So glad we found Sunnylea. Ideal location in the village being quiet but with everything on the doorstep...shops, pubs and eateries. The cottage is very comfortable with plenty of space and everything provided. Great communication and easy check in.
