A large house which sleeps up to 8 guests with 4 sizeable light and airy bedrooms, 2 separate shower rooms and 2 toilets. With a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and 2 separate living rooms it has plenty of space to accommodate a group of contractors, business and leisure travellers, or a group of friends & family looking for some time away together. The entire house is yours for the whole stay.

The property comes with all modern amenities, including a washing machine, large fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. There is a small garden area with seating for you to enjoy some private outside space, with the gated parking, at the back of the house (NB. There is enough room to park 1 large car or 2 small cars comfortably). Parking permits are available from the Bath Council website for any additional cars and limited on-street parking is available outside of the property.

Disappointing stay in Bath

Having paid a considerable amount for cleaning we arrived to find that the house had not been cleaned before our arrival. This was rectified that day. House was freezing and took 36 hours to warm up so we slept the first night in clothes. Front bedroom smells strongly of damp. General accommodation living space is inadequate for 8. Kitchen work surface sticky apparently due to varnish used. Not hygienic. Advertised as 2 bathrooms but the upstairs shower was leaking forcing all 8 to use a small cramped shower room downstairs. Owner was very responsive but this does not really mitigate the problems encountered. This appears to be a student house now let to families.

We have made Lorne House a lovely comfortable home with classic decor and some quirky features, making it an interesting place for your short stay in Bath. With added modern touches, we've kept the original fireplaces as centre pieces to many of the rooms which adds to the character of the house. The skylight in the dining area makes the living area a light and open space to socialise with friends and family.

From the doorstep, you can enjoy exploring the sights that this beautiful city has to offer with its vast Georgian buildings, impressive tourist attractions, independent shops and quirky gin bars and pubs. A trip to Bath’s oldest house to enjoy a famous Bath bun at Sally Lunn’s tearooms is a must!
