HILTON HEAD ISLAND. This Palmetto Dunes two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa is a newly renovated unit with a golf-course view.

The unit features a beautiful kitchen and a dining room table that seats six. The living room is an open area with a flat screen TV and offers direct access to the outside porch. The patio overlooks one of Palmetto Dunes practice facilities and is a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Both bedrooms are located downstairs. The first bedroom has a queen bed with TV, and a private bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and twin bed. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

This villa is just a 15-minute walk, or very short bike ride to the beach, and has a community pool just steps from the front door. Palmetto Dunes offers an award-winning tennis center, three golf courses, and various activity rentals you will not want to miss out on.

Location is only good part about this unit

We have stayed on P Dunes in years past and found it very relaxing and enjoyable. Upon opening door this year, we were disappointed to say least. The smell hit you in the face as soon as unlocking front door. We weren’t sure what the problem was until opening refrigerator and the smell of shrimp would make you sick. We found the shelves had what appeared to be the shrimp juice on them and attempted to clean to a satisfactory result. Googled and found a way to overpower the shrimp, vinegar!!! Poured a cup full and placed inside fridge and in a couple hours it worked. Now worked means, it now smells like malted vinegar instead of shrimp. The overall cleanliness of unit was very poor even outside of smell. Multiple hairs in freezer and in master bathroom floor and shower. The carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while and smelled of animals. The baseboards were dusty and if you wore white socks after a couple hours your socks are brown from the dirty tile floors and carpet. We emailed company on Saturday arrival and did not receive a call, message, or follow up to the concerns I have mentioned above. Our daughter actually stayed at friends place on site because of how dirty she felt it was. By the pictures when we booked, everyone in our party (6 groups) were jealous we found this unit. When they came to look, they all said they dodged a bullet. To finish up a bad week, when we were moving the couch to look for any items the may have fallen, we found a good sign of why the house smelled of animal. Dry Dog food, several pieces were under there along with plenty of other dirt and filth. We left the couch moved out so the cleaners might clean this for next tenant. We had guessed during week it was dogs because the pics of the dogs in master bedroom seemed to be of a personal variety of the owners. I see the other good reviews, so it could be the people staying before us were so nasty they couldn’t clean it completely or get rid of smells. Maybe they had the dogs, I don’t know. But I do know that I will not use the rental company of this unit ever again. The only positive thing about inside was the guest bath seemed to be fresh remodel and was very well done.

Beautiful Condo

The condo was beautiful as was HHI (as always). Walk to beach is around 10-15 minutes when going to back trail. We enjoyed the condo very much. The updated style was perfect. The only negative was that the pool is getting old and is showing quite a bit of wear and tear. Water was greenish when we arrived and we had to call to get someone to adjust chemicals.

October 2021 Stay

We had a great stay. Loved the location of the condo easy 5 min walk to the beach. Had a small plumbing issue Island Getaway go right on it. Only thing I would change is the deck on the property needs some tlc . I will stay there again next year. A shout out to Jenn she was great!!!!!

August 2021 Stay

First time at 700 Queens Grant. The owners provide a good quality brand name sofa and kitchen appliances. Nice roomy kitchen and living area. I agree with the previous review that the bed in the master could be replaced; it’s not very comfortable. This is a good place to stay and is close to so many things. The sliding door in the living room leaks. The carpet in front of the door stayed damp our entire visit and is starting to mold. The track for the sliding door has standing water in it, and possibly is where the mosquitos in the house have been breeding. The lamp in the living room with the seashell filled glass base does not work. I tried changing the light bulb and plugging it into a different socket with no luck. I brought a lamp from the bedroom in and used that. Lots of lights in the master bath which is a welcome feature. I appreciate the room darkening shades in the master. Great location and palmetto dunes is my favorite place to stay year after year.
